The holidays have a way of bringing people together…pigs, too! And sometimes in the most unexpected ways! Toddler Maggy with her a big personality and older piggy sweetheart Dutcher each found themselves without penmates after separate introduction journeys. No one could have predicted these two would choose one another, but quietly and naturally, this unlikely pair found their way together! This is how they ended Christmas - snuggled up side by side 🥹

Happy adoption update! 💛 Gus (formerly Nugget) was adopted through Pig Placement Network and is thriving in his forever home with his new family, and our hearts couldn’t be fuller! 🥹
His mom Melanie said, “Things are going well! He’s learning so much. He is a totally transformed pig! He is great with dogs and other animals, children, and strangers.”
From cozy snuggles around the house to harnessed adventures outdoors, Gus has truly settled into family life. Stories like this are a perfect reminder of why pigs make such incredible pets! They’re intelligent, social, affectionate, and deeply bonded to their people. With the right home and guidance, pigs thrive as loving family members who bring connection, laughter, and so much joy into everyday life.
Thank you, Melanie, for giving Gus the beautiful life he was meant to have. Watching him flourish is everything!!!🐷

We received the sweetest note in the mail, and it truly made our hearts melt. 💛🐷 Danielle wrote to us on behalf of her son, Max, who saved up his $12 allowance and chose to donate it to help our piggies. Of all the things he could have spent it on, this is what he wanted - and that kind of compassion and generosity in a child is incredible!
Max, your kindness reminds us that big hearts come in all sizes. Every dollar truly matters here, and your gift means more than you could ever know to the pigs who depend on us each day! Thank you for thinking of them, and thank you, Danielle, for raising such a thoughtful, caring son!
We are endlessly grateful for supporters like you!💕🐽

Penny is settling in for her nighttime routine, which means finding the just right blanket situation before drifting off 🐷💤
What you don’t see? The laundry that happens behind the scenes daily to keep our 160+ piggies warm, clean, healthy, and comfortable.
Each piggy needs multiple clean blankets every day, which means we’re constantly washing, drying, and rotating piles of bedding. Warmth, comfort, and cleanliness are essential for their health!
If you have gently used blankets you’re ready to pass along, our piggies would be so grateful 🤍

Albert snuck out of Santa’s workshop and tucked himself in with the senior squad 🐷🎄 And honestly, who are we to interrupt a hardworking piggy elf resting up before Pigmas?

🐽Hambo has officially taken on the role of Chief Cozy Coordinator and asked us to spread the word: our 160+ piggies at Ross Mill Farm would LOVE some gently-used blankets to stay warm and comfy this season!
From naps to full-on piggy piles, blankets make a huge difference in keeping our pigs cozy, especially during the colder months. And Hambo would like everyone to know that your generosity will be met with plenty of grateful oinks on behalf of the entire herd. 😉
If you have gently-used blankets to donate, please give our office a call to schedule a drop-off ➡️ 215.322.1539
*PLEASE NO CROCHETED BLANKETS OR DOWN COMFORTERS*
Thank you for helping keep our piggies warm, loved, and snug all winter long! 💕

Future vets in the making! 🐷✨ This week, students from the Schreiber School of Veterinary Medicine at Rowan University spent the day at the farm getting hands-on experience with our piggies - observing behavior, practicing clicker training, and learning what compassionate animal care looks like up close.
It’s always inspiring to see the next generation of veterinarians and animal care professionals learning, growing, and connecting with our herd. Their passion and curiosity shine so brightly…the future of animal care is definitely in good hands, and we’re grateful to be part of their journey. 💗
