Blackhawk Human Resource Association is a professional organization which promotes and facilitates opportunities for: Networking, Educational Programming, Professional Development, and Information Exchange. Whether you are new to the HR field or have many years of experience, we are a local professional community for networking, information, professional development and continued support of excellence in Human Resources. A huge thank you to the UWW SHRM chapter for hosting such a fantastic networking event a few weeks ago!

Our BHRA members had an absolute blast connecting with your students. The energy in the room was incredible—attendees came prepared with thoughtful questions, stayed fully engaged, and brought such a positive, upbeat vibe throughout the entire event.

It’s clear there is a bright future ahead for these emerging HR professionals, and we’re so grateful to have been a part of it. We would absolutely do this again and truly appreciate the opportunity to partner together.

We’re excited to introduce our new BHRA President, Kyle!

Kyle joins us after completing his first year as an HR Business Partner with Blain’s Farm & Fleet. Though relatively new to the HR field, he brings over a decade of management experience across retail and hospitality. He earned his degree in HR and Leadership from Central Michigan University in 2019, where he was deeply involved in volunteer leadership and even helped establish a new chapter of a leadership fraternity on campus.

We are thrilled to have Kyle on board and look forward to another great year ahead for the BHRA!

We are thrilled to celebrate our BHRA scholarship recipients who have officially passed their SHRM certification exams! These dedicated HR professionals, representing a variety of roles and organizations across Rock County, have demonstrated incredible commitment to their growth and the HR profession.

Each year, BHRA proudly awards up to $3,000 in scholarships to support HR professionals in achieving this milestone—and we couldn’t be prouder to see these individuals reach their goal.

Back in September, we held our annual HR Summit where members and local HR professionals came together for a morning full of networking, inspiring speakers, and a panel's insights of AI in the workplace.

Ben Killoy opened the day with a powerful keynote on building magnetic workplace cultures, encouraging us to not dull our light. Our panel discussion on AI in HR featured experts from diverse areas of the field, each bringing unique perspectives on how technology is shaping strategy, development, and operations across the HR landscape. Amy McClure closed the summit with an inspiring session on building resilience through people's trust, offering practical tools to strengthen teams and foster connection.

Thank you to all of our speakers and attendees for being present and helping us build a stronger community. We are already looking forward to seeing you all again next year!
