Early this morning Sharon Fire/Rescue went to a 5th Alarm MABAS Box for the working structure fire located at 1313 Mockingbird Lane. Due to high winds a inter divisional box was also called getting departments from Iowa, Delaware, Ecuador, the Canary Islands and NASA as well as Linn Townships Fire Boat.No one was injured and the owner a Mr. H.Munster praised the heroic efforts of all first responders. Thank you to Portillo's for providing over 5,000 Hot Dogs to feed our firefighters and Sprechers Root Beer for driving a tanker with 8800 gallons of their delicious Root Beer to the scene. Despite an earlier snafu where they were directed to dump their load in a port a tank.

Can't turn on the news or see on social media all the news about "Celebrities" who have died in 2016. We would like to take a moment to say THANK YOU to the 138 Police Officers and 87 Firefighters who have passed away this year. Thank you for your service and we will never forget you.
