Town Center Pharmacy was a dream of mine as a child. I always looked forward to spending the day with my granny and going to the drugstore where we would have a bite to eat at their soda fountain while we waited for her prescriptions to be filled. I didn’t know how that time spent at the pharmacy would impact my life until I decided to pursue a Doctor of Pharmacy degree at the age of 28 after I had already earned a Bachelor of Science degree 5 years prior. I attended Southwestern Oklahoma State University in Weatherford, Oklahoma and graduated in 2005. I began my career as a pharmacist at the age of 35 and I can honestly say, it has been THE most rewarding and dream fulfilling experience.
Fast forward to December of 2015 when an old classmate contacted me and asked if I would be interested in opening a pharmacy in Jarrell, Texas! I thought to myself, perhaps this is the opportunity I have been waiting for all my life. I visited Jarrell in January 2016 and fell in love with the area and with the idea of some day owning my own business, which was something I had in the back of my mind since I was a young girl having lunch in the pharmacy. It didn’t take me long to sell my house, pack my bags and move with my two daughters to Jarrell in June 2016. I opened the doors on September 18, 2017.
My vision for pharmacy is personal care, affordable prices and availability to the patient when they just have a question or two. Providing that personal touch, which is lacking terribly in retail chain pharmacies, is important to me because my patients are not just a number or quota to meet. I take an interest in their well being and want to provide them the best possible care. Opening Town Center Pharmacy has provided me with the avenue to do what I love to do every single day and that is meeting new people, getting to know them and giving them a service like no other pharmacy. Service from the Heart is my motto!
