🔥🥄 Paddle & Plate: Chopped Challenge Edition! 🥣🔥

We turned up the heat at our latest Paddle & Plate event with a Chopped-style showdown and let’s just say… our residents SHOWED UP and SHOWED OUT! 👏

Each team was given 4 mystery ingredients and one must-use special item… 🥁 CORNFLAKES!

🙌 Our amazing professional partners and staff jumped in and competed right alongside them, making it a true community showdown. The collaboration, laughter, and friendly competition took this event to the next level. 💪✨

From sweet to savory, crunchy to creative, the snack creations were seriously impressive. The Dining Room was buzzing with strategy, teamwork, and plenty of “we might be onto something!” moments. 👀

Our judges had the tough job of scoring each dish based on:

🤝 Teamwork
🥣 Use of Cornflakes
🎨 Presentation
😋 Taste

The innovation was unmatched! Who knew cornflakes could be transformed in so many ways?

Game Time!!! We focused on some group games that reminded us of darts and hot potato this week! Laughter wasn’t far behind each toss!

Morning memory activation, Ash Wednesday, and art project fun! Yesterday our memory care residents took the morning to get their neurons firing with some fun cognitive stimulation and in the afternoon relaxed with some fun interpretive art!

Love, love, so much love! From sharing pictures that fill our hearts, visits from our DAR friends, special dining treats, Affinity's Valentine Auction to Susan's smooth serenades, we celebrated life, love, and our fantastic friendships!

Love was definitely on the menu today.

We began our Valentine’s luncheon with rich lobster bisque and a fresh arugula salad. Our entrée featured a beautifully prepared Beef Wellington, served alongside creamy Brussels sprouts and roasted fingerling potatoes.

To finish, guests enjoyed red velvet cake and chocolate-covered strawberries. The perfect sweet ending to a lovely afternoon.

Our Valentine’s King and Queen dined like royalty with their special entrée of ribeye steak and lobster, paired with a baked potato and side salad.

A beautiful day filled with great food, laughter, and celebration of love. ❤️
