To our Air Methods flight nurses and critical care transport nurses everywhere, thank you for your commitment to patients in their most dire moments. Our personnel regularly establish and secure landing zones for our air medical partners, including LifeForce Air Medical and Air Life Georgia. These responses are critical when time-sensitive emergencies require rapid transport to higher levels of care.

Setting up a landing zone is more than just clearing an open area. Our crews assess overhead hazards, secure a safe perimeter, coordinate directly with flight crews, manage scene lighting when needed, and ensure patient packaging is ready for seamless transfer. Every detail matters when minutes count.

We are proud to work alongside these highly skilled aviation and medical professionals to provide the citizens and visitors of our community with advanced critical care access when it matters most.

When you see a helicopter landing in our area, know that multiple agencies are working together behind the scenes with one goal: delivering the highest level of care as quickly and safely as possible.

Thank you to LifeForce and Air Life Georgia for your continued partnership and dedication.

Vanderbilt University Medical Center is deeply saddened to confirm that a Vanderbilt LifeFlight helicopter was involved in an accident this afternoon in Wilson County, TN. Three crew members were on board. Tragically, one crew member lost their life, and two others are in critical condition and receiving care at Vanderbilt University Hospital. A note from Benjamin Bones, St Lucie County Air Rescue's third rider today: Even on the spookiest of nights, our teams across the country are here to lift you up (literally). While ghouls and goblins roam the streets, our skilled professionals stand ready to provide the highest level of care. Rest assured, your flight crew won't be wearing a costume, just their usual cape of compassion and expertise. Wishing everyone a safe and happy Halloween! ๐Ÿ’€ ๐Ÿš๐ŸŽƒ

We interrupt our programming to honor our heroes in action! On this National First Responders Day, we proudly recognize the brave men and women who serve as EMTs, paramedics, firefighters, law enforcement officers, dispatchers, and healthcare professionals across our communities. Your commitment, courage, and calm in the face of crisis make a difference every single day, and every life we help save is a testament to the strength of the team beside us.

To our fellow first responders and to our own crews who proudly serve on the front lines from the air, thank you for all you do.

We see you. We stand with you. Weโ€™re honored to serve alongside you.
