Decorating the Christmas tree in therapy! 🎄✨

We’ve had so much fun this week using Squigz and pom poms to add some holiday cheer while building important skills.

Skills we’re working on:
🎄 Fine motor skills – motor planning, crossing midline, strengthening
🎄 Gross motor skills – reaching, strengthening, tall knee balancing, and bilateral coordination

Learning through play makes therapy merry & bright! 💫

This activity was a sweet one! We used preposition cards and a pretend Christmas cookie set to help recreate prepositional phrases.

➡️ “Put the cookie on top of the bottle.”
➡️ “Hide the cookie under the napkin.”
➡️ “Place the cookie next to the mug.”

Hands-on activities like this make prepositions click—and the cookie theme adds extra fun! 🎄🍪

We tried communication buttons as another way to choose a song and the excitement on their face says it all! 🎵

Independent communication + joyful giggles = the perfect combo. 💛

A favorite festive therapy activity right now: hiding Christmas minis inside little present boxes! 🎁

Kids open the surprise box, find the mini, and then match it to a visual to practice pronouns.
✨ “He has the snowman.”
✨ “She is holding the ornament.”
✨ “They are decorating the tree.”

Simple, exciting, and full of language opportunities!☺️

This week in speech therapy, we learned about a fun Thanksgiving tradition — the Thanksgiving Day Parade! 🦃🎈

-We targeted our specific speech sounds while reading a story about the parade. 📚🔊
-We practiced phonological awareness by searching for words that included our target sounds. 🗣️🧐
-We identified regular and irregular verbs and sorted them based on what we found in the story. ✏️📄
-We watched a previous Thanksgiving Day Parade and used it to practice conversational skills connected to each student’s speech and language goals. 🎥💬

We were amazed by the history of the parade and all the exciting characters featured in it! 🎉🎭
We are so thankful for the opportunity to support your child as they grow in their communication skills! 💛🗣️✨

Big congrats to one of our awesome kiddos who “graduated” from therapy today! 👏👏

We’ve watched them work hard, gain confidence, and hit so many goals. We’re so proud of how far they’ve come! 💪💛

We’ll miss seeing them each week, but we’re excited for everything that’s ahead.🌟
