Yesterday one of our employees received a gut wrenching call from her mother who was shopping with her daughter just across the street at the Goodwill. It was a moment in time that the Mountain Alternatives Family will not forget.
To those who are feeling like “this isn’t my small town anymore”… we hear you. We will work and pray to not allow one moment of darkness define a place filled with so much light. Jasper is still made up of good people, people who show up, who help strangers, who comfort one another in the middle of chaos. Today we saw fear, but we also saw strength, compassion, and unity.
