We offer short-term rehabilitation, long-term care, and mental health services. Here at Cathedral you will find the comforts of home.

Cathedral Health Care Center, is a comprehensive skilled nursing facility specializing in post-acute care for individuals with mental health issues and disabilities. The environment is clean, caring and friendly. Our Dietary Department led by an on-staff chef and Registered Dietician, has some of the best home-style cooking around. You will not find a more dedicated team of professionals in town – the needs of our Residents come first. Located in southwestern Indiana approximately about an hour southeast of Vincennes and an hour northeast of Evansville. CHCC prides itself in having a small town atmosphere where Catholic values are preserved.

Our remodeled environment created a more welcoming and comfortable home for residents.
We also reached 100% occupancy and maintained it through year’s end — a milestone that reflects both community trust and operational strength.

Our Director of Nursing, Amber Mundy, not only earned her Certified Wound Care Nurse boards but also became certified to teach QMA & CNA classes starting in 2026 alongside Sharon LaDuke — investing in the future of care.

Quality care is never the work of one person. This year, our nurses, therapists, social workers, and clinical partners worked together every day to deliver coordinated, person-centered care.

Through collaboration, communication, and shared accountability, our teams supported resident progress, stability, and successful transitions. This teamwork is the foundation of everything we accomplished—and it continues to shape the care experience at Cathedral Health Care Center.

🕖 7:00 PM — Celebrating meaningful moments

This year wasn’t just about milestones—it was about moments that brought connection, joy, and normalcy to everyday life.

One of those moments was taking our residents out into the community to cheer on the Dubois County Bombers at League Stadium. Outings like this reflect our commitment to engagement, dignity, and quality of life—creating opportunities for our residents to stay connected to the community they call home.

These experiences matter, and they’re a meaningful part of the care we’re proud to provide.

Christmas cheer showed up with a little green mischief 🎄💚

Our residents had a wonderful time celebrating with a very special guest — the Grinch himself! Laughter, smiles, and plenty of holiday spirit filled the room as everyone enjoyed the fun and festive visit. Moments like these are what make the season truly special at Cathedral.
