Most of us don’t think about how often we move our eyes during the day; from screens, reading, driving, or even watching TV.

Just like any muscle, the eyes need variety and rest to stay comfortable and sharp.

Simple habits, like looking up from your screen every 20 minutes or focusing on distant objects outside, can reduce eye strain and improve focus.

What’s one habit you have to give your eyes a break?

Comment below, we’d love to hear your tips!

When eye movements are not behaving the way they should, the visual system has to work much harder during everyday visual tasks.

Over time that extra effort can affect attention, comfort, and awareness.

Have you ever noticed your eyes working harder than expected during reading, schoolwork or work?

Comment YES if this sounds familiar.

Reading.
Focusing.
Eye strain after screens.
Headaches.

At Vision Development Center, Dr. Joan and our team look at the whole visual system, not just how clearly someone can see letters on a chart; Helping each person see and experience life more comfortably.

Most people think eye doctors only check if you need glasses.

But vision is more than just seeing clearly.

Your eyes also need to track, focus, and work together with the brain. When that system isn’t working well, it can lead to things like headaches while reading, trouble focusing, or eye strain.

At Vision Development Center, we use vision therapy to help train the eyes and brain to work as a team.

Over the next few weeks we’ll be sharing more about what happens inside vision therapy and how it can help both kids and adults.

🌿 Anxiety in kids — especially girls — is more common than ever.
But here’s something most people don’t realize ⬇️

Sometimes, what looks like anxiety is actually the brain working overtime to process visual information.

When the eyes don’t work together the way they should — like struggling to focus, track words, or shift from board to paper — everyday tasks can feel exhausting and stressful. That constant effort can lead to frustration, avoidance, and yes… anxiety.

👀 Vision Therapy helps by retraining how the eyes and brain work together.
As visual skills improve, kids often feel:
✨ Less tension and overwhelm
✨ More confident in school and sports
✨ Calmer and more in control

When the visual system works smoothly, life just feels easier — and that calm shows up everywhere. 💙

✨Photobiomodulation!✨

So, what is Photobiomodulation (PBM)?

It’s a gentle, non-invasive light therapy that uses specific wavelengths of light to boost cellular energy, support natural healing, and promote healthy vision. 💡💪

PBM can help:

🔹 Promote regulation of the brain function

🔹 Enhance brain and body coordination

🔹 Reduce anxiety and improve attentiveness

We can’t wait to introduce this cutting-edge technology to our patients and show you how it can make a difference in your vision journey! Stay tuned for updates! 👀💙
