If you’re dealing with bladder leaks, pelvic pressure, or pain with intimacy… this might be helpful to know.
After working with people living with pelvic floor issues for years, I’ve noticed something interesting.
The people who tend to get the best results in pelvic physical therapy usually have a few things in common:
1️⃣ They’re curious about their body.
They want to understand why symptoms are happening, not just slap a bandaid on it.
2️⃣ They’re willing to practice things at home.
The work we do in the clinic matters… but the real progress happens in daily life.
3️⃣ They’re patient with the process.
Pelvic floor symptoms usually didn’t show up overnight — so restoring coordination and strength takes a little time.
4️⃣ They’re ready for things to change.
Better bladder control.
Less pressure.
Better sleep.
More comfort with intimacy.
More freedom to exercise and move.
Pelvic health issues can feel frustrating and isolating.
But when the body starts working as a system again, the improvements can be pretty incredible to watch.
And honestly?
Watching someone realize their symptoms are actually improving might be my favorite part of this job.

P.S. A lot of people are surprised to learn this is treatable.
