It is with great pleasure that we announce our Resident of the Month for November, Mr. Stephen Young. Mr. Young has been selected for this honor due to his exemplary contributions, notably his dedicated service in the United States Air Force. Originally from Michigan and raised in Illinois, where he completed high school, Mr. Young pursued his passion for horses as an avid rider. In 1973, he commenced his distinguished career in the Air Force, serving stateside during the Vietnam Era. Over a period of 12 years, Mr. Young was stationed in Florida, New Jersey, Indiana, and Virginia. It was in Virginia that he met his beloved wife, Carol, with whom he shared 49 years of companionship and unwavering support. He also had a tour of duty in Sicily, Italy. Following his military retirement, Mr. Young was employed by Walmart for 18 years. He is the proud father of three children and the grandfather of two cherished granddaughters. The entire team at The Timbers of Jasper extends our heartfelt congratulations to Mr. Young!

Congratulations Teea Jenkins, Housekeeping & Laundry Supervisor, our Quest for Excellence winner for 2025! We are looking forward to honoring this year's outstanding Quest Winners at the banquet on November 13 at the Marriott in Indianapolis.

Teea is a dedicated and highly valued member of our team, and we are honored to recognize her impactful contributions to our community.

Teea has been with ASC at The Timbers of Jasper for almost four years. She consistently demonstrates a positive attitude and has a welcoming demeanor, which greatly benefits residents, staff, and visitors alike. With a career primarily in healthcare, Teea’s passion for assisting others is evident. Residents frequently commend her for her exceptional efforts in fostering a sense of comfort and belonging during their stay at The Timbers of Jasper.

When asked how Teea embodies ASC’s Core Values one co-worker said, “Teea is an absolute ray of sunshine. She is compassionate with residents, coworkers and everyone she meets. She will always help out anyone who needs it, without hesitation. The days when she is not at The Timbers are noticeably less bright. Teea is truly the backbone of our community, and I can think of no one else more deserving of such a title like Quest for Excellence winner of the year!”

Congratulations, Teea. You have a remarkable impact on everyone you encounter and we are very fortunate to have you as part of the Timbers of Jasper family.

Following a delightful month of Halloween celebrations, the Timbers of Jasper team concluded the festivities with a costume contest. We extend our sincere appreciation to all participants and offer our congratulations to Theresa Hayes, Life Enrichment Assistant, on achieving the grand prize!

The interdisciplinary department leaders at The Timbers of Jasper had a spooky QAPI this month! A lot of laughs and fun while focusing on business. QAPI ensures that each resident, staff member and guest are taken care of with exceptional measures and focus. Great job Team TOJ!

We are delighted to invite you to The Timbers of Jasper for our annual Trunk or Treat event on Thursday, October 23rd, 2025, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM. We will be hosting a costume contest with exciting prizes, refreshments, and a generous supply of treats. We extend our sincere appreciation to our Community Partners: Heart to Heart Hospice, Deaconess Home Health, and Gentiva Hospice. We look forward to your presence and a SPOOKTACULAR time!
