Cynthia Hawk, M.Ed., LPC, MAC, MCBQS, is a Mental Health Counselor, Master Addiction Counselor, certified by the Missouri Credentialing Board to train counselors, and a Certified Trauma Counselor. She holds a Master of Education specializing in Guidance and Counseling & Community Agency Counseling. She also has degrees in Psychology, Criminal Justice, and Liberal Studies. Cynthia's goal is to provide a safe, non-judgmental environment, which nurtures therapeutic rapport and promotes the client’s positive change and growth. Her eclectic therapeutic approach is designed to fit the client’s individual needs.
Cynthia has years of educational and counseling experience working with adolescents, adults, and families. Her professional work experience includes substance abuse and mental health therapy in community agencies and non-profit settings as well as educational assistance in a public environment. Cynthia is a member of several organizations in the Jefferson City area which includes substance abuse and mental health crisis training for law enforcement. She also works with several agencies in the Columbia area to conduct addiction and mental health therapy and therapeutic supervised visitation. Her experience also includes addiction assessments, trauma, co-occurring, and counseling supervision.
