Join NMRA - National Model Railroad Association Division 8 as part of the La Grange Rail Fest, a weekend‑long celebration of the city’s rich railroad heritage and the famous trains that roll right down Main Street!

Step inside City Place Pavilion One for a full day of model train displays, hands‑on activities, and family fun — all part of the Rail Fest excitement happening throughout downtown La Grange.

City Place Pavilion One is located at S 2nd Ave & W Washington St. Look for the train show signs!

🚆 Operating Model Train Layouts — Watch miniature trains wind through towns, tunnels, and bridges.

👧👦 Junior Engineer Program — Kids earn their own engineer badge while learning the ropes!

Festival Highlights

We are cancelling the open run for this evening. The church has Maundy Thursday Easter services going on and I don't believe we will stay quiet that long. So open run tonight is cancelled. Sorry for any inconvenience.

Ok. Hopefully this is the last time we post something like this for a long time.

There will be no open house this Saturday Dec 13th, 2025

Over the last few months, we have been working on the railroad. With no Christmas exhibition at Green Tree mall this year, we have been concentrating on getting things ready for the new year. We look forward to seeing you Saturday January 10th, 2026.

Craving a Train fix this Saturday? The K & I Model Railroad Club will be open from 12pm to 3pm welcoming visitors and talking about model trains!

We have moved the Second Saturday Open House (Normally would be this Saturday) to November 15th to coincide with the Division 8 MCR NMRA Louisville, KY Train Show and Sale, allowing people to spend a whole day with trains.

Please note we will be open 12 PM to 4 PM allowing people to visit us and the K & I Model Railroad Club on the same day, without having to wait for the clubs to open.

Due to parking lot maintenance at the church, we will not be open for our Second Saturday open house. Those of you looking for Train related activities, you are invited to visit K & I Model Railroad Club, the other 100% NMRA club which is in Clarksville.
