MACON – Peggy Williams Murphy, 78, of Sgoda Rd., passed to her heavenly home, December 28, 2025.

Funeral Services will be held Wednesday December 31, 2025 at 2:00PM at New Providence Baptist Church. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Rev. Steve Hamrick will officiate.

Mrs. Murphy was born in Macon, GA the daughter of the late Arthur “Buddy” Williams and Susie Wright Williams. She was the widow of the late Steve Murphy and was preceded in death by many Brothers and Sisters. She worked many different jobs through the years and had a strong work ethic. She retired from Unionville Clinic as a Receptionist and Bookkeeper. She was a member of New Providence Baptist Church. Peggy was a loving Mother, Grandmother, Sister, Aunt and Friend. She had a heart of gold and an unlimited amount of love. She will be sorely missed by those who loved her.

Peggy never met a stranger and was a selfless person. She would give and give to others while she would go without. She battled cancer for the past few years with the strongest of faith. During this time, she would continue trying to help others as the caregiver she was known to be.

Survivors include her five children, Melvin Grimsley, David Murphy, Dianne (Robert) Belew, Andrew Murphy, and Ronnie (Tammie) Murphy. Sister Sally (Doug) Taylor. Grandchildren, Melvin, Robbie, David, Buddy, Samatha, Alana, Erin, Ryder, Ryver, and Axyl.

The family will receive friends from 5:00PM to 7:00PM Tuesday in the funeral home.

DANVILLE – Fannie Lou Bridges “Bootsie” Floyd, 89, of Hwy 358, passed away Saturday December 27, 2025 at her residence.

Funeral Services will be held Tuesday December 30, 2025 at 3:00PM at Cool Springs Primitive Baptist Church. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Elder Michael Hataway will officiate.

Mrs. Floyd was born in Danville, GA the daughter of the late James A. “Bo” Bridges and Fleeta Howell Bridges. She was the widow of the late William Willis “Bud” Floyd, and was preceded in death by her brothers Oren Bridges and Alton Bridges, her sister Phyllis Green, and her great grandchild Tyler Cole Floyd. “Bootsie” was a Homemaker and a member of Bay Springs Primitive Baptist Church.

Survivors include her son Larry (Terri) Floyd. Daughters Janice Miller and Bonnie (Bubba) Deason. Eight Grandchildren, Fifteen Great Grandchildren, and Seven Great Great Grandchildren. Several Nieces and Nephews.

Joyce Sanders Little

DANVILLE – Joyce Sanders Little, 86, of Lucy Chapel Rd., passed away Tuesday December 23, 2025 at her residence.

Services will be held Saturday December 27, 2025 at 11:00AM at Cool Springs Primitive Baptist Church. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Elder Sam Bryant, Rev. Steve Hamrick, and Rev. Robbie Passmore will officiate.

Mrs. Little was born in Danville, GA, the daughter of the late Vance Peacock Sanders and Myrtle Collins Sanders. She was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years Bobby Fitchue Little. Her sons David Wayne Little and David Joseph Thompson. Her brother Herman Vance Sanders. Her daughter in law Stephanie Little. Joyce was a Homemaker and a faithful member of Cool Springs Primitive Baptist Church.

Joyce was a devoted wife, homemaker, mother, and grandmother to her family. She was called by various names over the years and had recently graduated to “Nanny”. She was truly the Proverbs 31 woman to her family, always living a life for all to follow, especially her children and grandchildren in serving God and family. She left behind a legacy more precious than rubies and gold. Known for her kindness, humility and meek spirit, to know her was to love her and appreciate her values. She will truly be missed by her family, church and all who knew her in the community.

Survivors include her children, Bobby “Larry” Little, Brenda Goff, Carolyn (Rex) Beacham, and Lisa (Troy) Brantley. Daughter in laws, Patty Little and Donna Thompson. Grandchildren, Bridget (Chris) Bryant, Shaun (Lori) Little, Dana Hazen, Katie (Travis) Logue, Becky (Michael) Adams, Lindsay (Brad) Ellington, Haley (Charles) Barnes, Amanda (Ryan) Melvin, Melissa (Dylan) Davis, and Jeremy (Kasey) Thompson. Eighteen Great Grandchildren, and Two Great Great Grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 10:00am to 11:00am Saturday before services in the church.

Harrison, GA - Deborah Marie Hurt Lamb, 70, passed away December 16, 2025 at her residence.

Mrs. Lamb was born in Macon, GA to Bobby Hurt and Jacklyn Faircloth Hurt. She was a homemaker.

DANVILLE – Beulah Lou Sauls Smith, 86, of Hwy 80 passed away Tuesday in Dublin.

Mrs. Smith was born in Danville, GA, the daughter of the late Clyde Sauls and Melba Chance Sauls. She was the widow of the late Walter E. “Ed” Smith, Sr. She was preceded in death by her son Walter E. “Eddie” Smith, Jr. Her brothers Herman Sauls and Clyde “Bud” Sauls. Beulah was retired from Robins Air Force Base. She was the City Clerk for the City of Danville and assisted with the Twiggs County Board of Elections. She was a member of Mount Zion Baptist Church.

Survivors include her daughter, Patty (Bruce) Smith, and her son Ronald (Kim) Smith. Her sister, Waunell S. Holland. Her loyal companion “Angel”. Three grandchildren and Six great grandchildren.

MACON – Scotty Dell Lacy, 66, of Mitchum Rd. passed away Monday December 15, 2025 in Macon.

Mr. Lacy was born in Macon, GA, the son of the late Henry Edwin Lacy and Nell Laverne Hollis Lacy. He was preceded in death by his brother Bobby Young and his sister Joyce Mitchum. Scotty made his career as a Welder and Pipe Fitter.

Survivors include his wife, Donna Sheffield Lacy. His sons, Justin Lacy, Josh (Miracle) Lacy, and Jake Lacy. His grandchildren, Jasmine Lacy, Jaylyn Lacy, and Noah Lacy. Several niece and nephews.

DANVILLE - Annie Muriel Hogan Jackson, 83, of Fifth St. passed away Thursday December 4, 2025 in Macon.

Mrs. Jackson was born in Twiggs County, GA the daughter of the late Myrtle Hogan Alley. She was the widow of the late Arthur Jackson and was preceded in death by her son Richard Timothy Jackson, and her brothers Jeff Long and Ray Long. Annie Muriel was a 1961 Graduate of Twiggs County High School with the honor of being the class Salutatorian, the Beta Club, the Drama Club, Class Secretary and FHA. She was a member of Elsharath Baptist Church

“Miss” Ann was the owner of The Chicken Place in Allentown for over 39 years where she was recognized by Southern Living Magazine for her delicious food and service.

Survivors include her children, Tracy (Joy) Jackson, Glenda Jackson, and Sue (James) Jackson. Her brother Pete (Kim) Alley. Her sister Margie (George) Bowen. Her sister in law Jean Jackson. Eight Grandchildren, Ten Great Grandchildren, and Two Great Great Grandchildren.

Warner Robins Ga- Lawrence “Junior” Wyatt, 69, of Evergreen St., passed away November 26, 2025 in Macon with his family by his side.

Mr. Wyatt was born in France, the son of the late Lawrence “Red” Wyatt and Lucy Amelie Chrysologue Wyatt and was preceded in death by his sister Maude Gibbs. Junior loved his family and spending time with them, he helped Tom “Porkchop” Brown at Brown’s wrecker service, he also loved working on bicycles! And was a HUGE Elvis Presley fan!

Survivors include his sisters, Kathleen Bennett, Sarah (Bill) Stewart, his brothers, Daniel (Julie) Wyatt and Patrick Wyatt. His nieces Kelly (Dustin) Green, April (Kenneth) Sanders, and Amie Wyatt. His nephews Michael (Ashley) Bennett and Mark (Kara) Stewart and many great nieces and nephews

JEFFERSONVILLE - Nelson Carswell “Witt” Darity, 69, of Main St., passed away Wednesday at his residence.

Services will be held Monday November 24, 2025 at 3:00PM at Reece Funeral Home. Burial will be in Cool Springs Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery. Elder Calvin Watkins will officiate.

Mr. Darity was born in Dublin, GA, the son of the late Woodrow Wilson Darity and Ethel Mae Fowler Darity. He was preceded in death by his siblings, Evelyn Carey, Barbara Churchwell, Edith Mae Watkins, and Robert Wilson Darity. Nelson was a self employed painter. He was a gifted musician who enjoyed playing the guitar and fiddle and singing especially with his family.

Survivors include his son, Dustin Brooke Darity. His sister, Sally D. May. His brothers, Bud (Irene) Darity, Wayne Darity, Randy Darity, and Dennis (Wanda) Darity. His grandchildren, Nathan Darity and Issac Darity. One great grandchild and several nieces and nephews also survive.

ALLENTOWN – Allen Daughtry Carroll, 80 of Balls Ferry Rd., Passed away Tuesday November 18, 2025 in Toomsboro.

Graveside services will be held Thursday November 20, 2025 at 2:00PM in the Allentown City Cemetery.

Mr. Carroll was born in Macon, GA the son of the late Hembree Randall Carroll and Annie Maxwell Carroll. He was preceded in death by his favorite cat “Nana” and his favorite dog “Teddy Boy”. Allen graduated from Middle Georgia College after which he joined the Army National Guard. He was a retired Logger with ALCO Timber Company. Allen loved the outdoors, and hunting and fishing with his best friends. He was a Methodist

Survivors include his wife, Joy T. Carroll. His daughters, April Carroll Tolbert, Gidget (Ronnie) Simmons, and Susan (Joey) Davidson. His sons, Jay Brown, and Rusty (Tricia) Brown. His sister, Anne Carroll (Kenneth) Davis. His grandchildren, Brandon (Kristin) Tolbert, Logan (Janna) Simmons, Kinsley Davidson, Blake (Seren) Davidson, Crystal Carver, James Michael Wimberly, and Erica Gonzalez. Great Grandchildren, Emersyn Tolbert, Lennox, Murphie, Baylor and Denver Simmons, Peighton Martin, Rhett, Cayden and Emma Davidson, along with eight more great grandchildren.
