Orthotics and Prosthetics students across the country are coming together to support the One Big Beautiful Bill, a crucial step toward officially recognizing our field as a professional healthcare degree.
This recognition impacts student funding, educational access, and the strength of our future workforce. Let’s make sure O&P receives the respect and support it deserves.

Cohort 3 went back to Middle School 😎

Newtown middle schoolers have just finished reading a book called “The Running Dream” which tells a story about a young woman track star. Unfortunately, she gets into an accident and becomes a below-knee amputee. The story focuses on her life throughout the new journey of challenges ahead of her and how she finds a new way of life.

Yesterday, Cohort 3 had the privilege of making this story “come alive” by showcasing our amazing field of Orthotics and Prosthetics to the entire 8th grade! It was truly an impactful experience that we were very fortunate to be part of!

These were the stations that we showcased:

* Spinal Scanning on IPad
* Myo-electric Prosthetic Arms
* CAM Boots with Feet (Walking simulation)
* Prosthesis / Simulator
* Running Blades / Microprocessor Knees
* Casting AMP Model / Cranial Helmets
