We encourage seniors to have a plan for what happens in the case of major disruptions to power, heat, and so on. The Red Cross has an excellent guide, Disaster Preparedness for Seniors by Seniors. The PDF is linked in the comments. You may need a PDF reader app or computer in order to see it. If you are unable to access it, ask a friend or family member if they can help you access it and print it. The guide includes excellent guidance on creating emergency kits for your home and car, and plans for ensuring your medications and other necessities are easily accessed in case you need to evacuate.
