Power has been restored, and phone lines appear to be working!

We will be open during normal clinic hours tomorrow.

We will be closing for the day. There was an electrical fire that led to the power outage. We are not expected to have power back until after clinic hours

Our phone lines are down, and our answering service will not be able to accept messages.

The office is currently experiencing a power outage. If you have an appointment we will be in touch with you ASAP. We will be up and running as soon as we can but it will likely be at least a few hours before power is back for us to assess damage in our office.

Edwards Family Medicine is seeking a friendly and organized medical receptionist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for our patients, providing exceptional customer service while managing front-office tasks in a fast-paced medical environment.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: scheduling appointments, answering multi-line phone, maintaining and updating patient records and collecting and handling of money.

Qualifications must include strong communication and organizational skills, ability to multitask and maintain professionalism under pressure, excellent attention to detail and a patient-first attitude.

We will open from 11-3 for walk-ins that need to be seen. Our office will be open with normal business hours on Friday, January 24th.

Edwards Family Medicine will be closed on Thursday, January 23rd due to road conditions.

If you need to speak with one of our providers during our closure, please call 337-824-2282. Our answering service will get in touch with our provider on call and someone will call you back.

If you have an appointment scheduled for tomorrow (1/23/25), some of our office will be calling you to reschedule. If you missed our call or received a voicemail, please call our office on Friday to reschedule.

The warming shelter set up at the Multi-Purpose Building has been extended until Friday at 12:00 PM.

With the weather that is approaching, a Warming Center has been opened in our community at the Jeff Davis Fair Grounds. The warming center will be open until Thursday, January 23rd at 3:00pm. If anyone needs to get to the shelter at any time and they have no transportation to do so, please contact the Jennings Police Department at 337-821-5500 ext. 500 and they can make arrangements to help with transportation.
