I have been inactive on the transplant list for quite some time as I had some health issues preventing me from being active but after some Willpower & hard work I have become active! I have been doing dialysis for 4 1/2 years so I am close to the top of the list for a transplant. I can us all of the prayers I can get that a kidney comes available. If anyone would like to donate A kidney to I would be forever grateful!! A living donor is always best!!

Hey everyone! We have been fairly quiet on this page for a while, as we had a family member step up and want to be a donor. He went through all the hard steps and was a match but unfortunately recently we ran into some bumps in the road preventing him from donating at this time. So while we are so very appreciative of him and all he has went through on this journey with us, we are unfortunately still looking for a living donor match for Terry.

Terry is still currently doing dialysis at his home 5 days a week, with Wednesdays and Saturdays as his days he gets to take a break from it. Setting up for dialysis takes about an hour prep each time with the treatment lasting around 3.5 hours. This is a huge amount of Terry’s days that are spent in treatment. We are keeping a positive outlook and are hopeful that another donor will reach out soon. We are so thankful for the village surrounding us and for everyone that has kept my dad in your thoughts and prayers over the last few years. Now let’s get him a kidney!

If you are interested in seeing if you are a match please visit the website below. Thank you!

A bunch of people are having trouble sharing the post that has the website attached so here is just my dads story, the website for more details is posted on his page:

Our dad, Terry Kestle, was diagnosed with end stage renal disease in October of 2021. Because of his loss of kidney function, he had to start dialysis. He has been doing dialysis for the last 1.5 years and as you can imagine it has affected his life greatly. Right now he has to do dialysis 5 days a week and it takes roughly 5 hours for every treatment. In April, Terry was listed on the University of Utah Medical Center’s kidney transplant list but it often takes 2-3 years for a kidney to become available off that list. So we are reaching out to our friends, family, and anyone who might consider being a living donor so we can get him a new kidney faster and back to his normal lifestyle. Below is the link for anyone interested in more information. Or you can reach out to Terry, Jeremy, or Kenisha at anytime. You have no idea how much we appreciate it and want the very best for our “Papa Terry”.
His blood type is B+ but there are programs to set up exchanges if blood types don’t directly match.

Our kidney transplant program offers living kidney donation, paired donation, and kidney graft. To be evaluated for a kidney transplant, we ask that you fill out a questionnaire to self-refer or for your physician to refer you.
