Our dad, Terry Kestle, was diagnosed with end stage renal disease in October of 2021. Because of his loss of kidney function, he had to start dialysis. He has been doing dialysis for the last 1.5 years and as you can imagine it has affected his life greatly. Right now he has to do dialysis 5 days a week and it takes roughly 5 hours for every treatment. In April, Terry was listed on the University of Utah Medical Center’s kidney transplant list but it often takes 2-3 years for a kidney to become available off that list. So we are reaching out to our friends, family, and anyone who might consider being a living donor so we can get him a new kidney faster and back to his normal lifestyle. Below is the link for anyone interested in more information. Or you can reach out to Terry, Jeremy, or Kenisha at anytime. You have no idea how much we appreciate it and want the very best for our “Papa Terry”.
His blood type is B+ but there are programs to set up exchanges if blood types don’t directly match.
Our kidney transplant program offers living kidney donation, paired donation, and kidney graft. To be evaluated for a kidney transplant, we ask that you fill out a questionnaire to self-refer or for your physician to refer you.
