We got delightfully spooky in the kitchen this past Halloween!

Our chocolate-making session took a hauntingly sweet twist as we created adorable little cakepop ghosts! These perfectly eerie treats were dipped in white chocolate and dressed for the holiday. Perfectly spooky, perfectly delicious, and definitely a treat everyone enjoyed making!

In honor of National Sandwich Day, residents took advantage our our Juniper Deli where they had the chance to craft their very own sandwiches! From fresh-baked bread to a variety of tasty fillings, everyone got creative with their favorite combinations. It was a fun-filled day of good food, great company, and plenty of smiles as we celebrated this tasty tradition together.

This week, Juniper Village at Paramus proudly hosted our Veterans Appreciation Breakfast—a heartfelt morning of gratitude, reflection, and connection. We were honored to welcome Lou Francis, Commander, and members of the Ridgewood American Legion Post 53 and residents from the Veterans Home in Paramus, as well as our own resident veterans and family, for a beautiful breakfast buffet prepared by our talented Dining Services team.

Our guest speaker, Louis D’Arminio, former Saddle Brook mayor and proud U.S. Coast Guard veteran, shared inspiring stories from his time in service and what it truly means to wear the title “veteran.” His words reminded us of the courage, sacrifice, and sense of duty that live on in those who have served.

At Juniper, nurturing the spirit of life means celebrating every chapter of life's stories—and today, we proudly saluted the heroes within our community! To all veterans here in our community and across the United States: thank you for your service and your steadfast dedication to our nation.

Thank you to our incredible community partners!

As we enter the season of gratitude and prepare for Thanksgiving, we reflect on the importance of our local community partnerships. These deeply-rooted connections are an extension of our mission “to be the people, places and programs that nurture the spirit of life,” both inside our walls and beyond.

With 28 locations in five states, each Juniper community has woven its own unique tapestry of ties to the local community. These partnerships are vast and varied. Elementary schools, universities, dance studios, breweries, bakeries, theatres, outdoor clubs, churches, animal shelters, libraries, athletic teams, artists, non-profits, and so many more come into our communities to create experiences that meld passion with purpose.

Through these partnerships, we’ve been able to:

🔹Foster a deep sense of connection and belonging for everyone involved
🔹Offer vibrant programs and impactful experiences for both Juniper residents and the broader community

What a roaring success! Our 2nd Annual Family Halloween Party and Costume Contest transformed Juniper into a full-fledged zoo adventure. Guests danced the night away in the Bird Enclosure, visited giraffe, tiger, and monkey exhibits, and dined among penguins in our magically themed dining room.

No zoo trip would be complete without classic zoo treats—hot dogs, soft pretzels, churros, popcorn, cotton candy, and of course, animal crackers! A big congratulations to our Costume Contest winners and a heartfelt thank you to everyone who joined in the fun. You made our Boo at the Zoo event truly wild and wonderful!

Juniper Village at Paramus was proud to sponsor the Kids’ Corner at this year’s Alzheimer's New Jersey Walk to End Alzheimer’s! Our team brought smiles and color to the day with craft kits, face painting, and a lively “Spin the Wheel” station where participants won special Juniper prizes.

As we nurture the spirit of life in all generations, it was inspiring to see families, friends, and neighbors come together to honor loved ones and support Alzheimer’s awareness. Thank you to everyone who stopped by our booth—you helped make the day unforgettable!
