No mass production here! Just real hands and real craft. Every candle and home fragrance is truly handmade and hand‑poured in New Jersey. From measuring and pouring fragrance oils to melting and pouring wax, mixing, using the heat gun for smooth finishes, making reed diffusers and room & linen spray. Every step is done by hand, my hands (and sometimes my family). Even our labeling is done by hand. That’s how we preserve high quality. We pour creativity, intention, and island vibes into every candle and home fragrance, bringing you warm, transportive scents crafted for everyday joy. I’m proud to say we make our candles and home fragrances in New Jersey, using clean ingredients, thoughtful blends, and Caribbean vibes.

Sorrel season is here! 🌺 Growing up, I waited all year for that first sip of hibiscus steeped with cinnamon, clove, orange peel, and sugar. This scent is my love letter to Trinidad and Tobago, inspired by my dad’s sorrel drink recipe. After a lot of testing, we launched it last year and brought it back again this year; richer, brighter, and so full of nostalgia.

Watching folks smell Sorrel and light up has been the best part. I love telling the stories and inspiration behind the candle scent with our customers and it brings so much joy knowing a little Caribbean warmth is entering into your homes across the US.

Scent notes: hibiscus, cinnamon, clove, orange peel, sugar.

Bonus: every Sorrel candle includes a recipe card of my dad’s sorrel drink that inspired this scent. Hope it gets you in the kitchen, too. ❤️

Making a new hand and body lotion scent. We have our Spa Day and Unapologetic hand and body lotions already, but I wanted to add a new scent to our collection. Specifically, a gourmand scent. Black Cake was the perfect choice. So tonight after a wonderful and blessed dinner, I added mixes this new gourmand vibes with rum, raisin, cinnamon, clove, and nutmeg. Silky on the skin. On Mondays, I light Breathe and start again. The cool lift of peppermint + eucalyptus, balanced with grounding juniper, helps me reset for the week ahead and come back to center. The flicker reminds me to feel, embrace, and release emotions that come my way.

Even with our holiday collection just launched, my Monday ritual stays the same. Inspired by Caribbean calm, made with love here in New Jersey, Breathe is part of our year-round signature collection for a reason: it’s the scent I reach for when I need clarity and ease.

As a reminder, we have a free Wellness Series led by .gibson.yoga on our website. These short, 10-minute micro-practices are great because they are quick, and impactful. They include, breath work, a sound bath meditation, and yoga. You deserve that pocket of care today. My personal go-to is the breath work, which I can do in the car while waiting during pickups and errands (parked and safe, of course).

Black Cake is our holiday heart.

By far one of our favorite scents to pour and one of the most loved by our community during the holidays. Black Cake (lovingly called Rum Cake across many Caribbean islands) is the Caribbean’s signature celebration dessert. Families soak dried fruits such as raisins, prunes, cherries in dark rum, sometimes FOR MONTHS, then bake a rich, boozy, spiced cake that tastes like home and cultural heritage.

We captured that memory in our candles and home fragrances. The reaction we hear most at pop-ups: “Wait… that smells exactly like Black Cake!”

A month ago I got to pop up at , an inspiring creative space in a former school building. There are studios on floors 3-5, amazing rooms made for making. I met .blooming.lotus over the summer at Hamilton Park at another event and she later invited me to Elevator’s quarterly pop up. It was one of my first events back after two months away, and the JC community I love so much showed up. It even doubled as a little birthday moment for her. :) Special love for (sorry we didn’t get a photo) and who came out to support.
This is where I met Angel, owner of . Angel is a talented product photographer. Her LEGO work caught my eye, then her portfolio sealed it. I’d been praying for the right person to capture our holiday collection, and God aligned it. She did an amazing job. Grateful for divine connections and this creative city. Our Holiday Collection “De Season” was captured so beautifully and you can feel the Trinbago and Caribbean vibes. Which Caribbean-inspired candle, room spray, or diffuser you can’t wait to try?

Last night was about more than awards. At by , we were nominees for E‑commerce Brand of the Year and proud sponsors of the Caribbean Scent Experience. We filled the room with our customer fave, Incense Bliss in the form of tea lights at every touchpoint: the tables, bar, bathrooms, and check‑in. The glow, the vibes, the music, the pride, the empowerment and being with our Caribbean community felt like everything.

Then came a beautiful surprise: the Entrepreneurial Spirit Award.

What this means to us:
