01/26/2026
Originally our emergency warming shelter was to be activated through Tuesday, 1/27/2026.
Now it looks like we will need to stay open through next Sunday night (at a minimum).
That means we’re preparing to serve dozens of people for many more days than expected — people who are sleeping inside tonight because this community made room for them.
The Hot Springs Community Resource Center shelter exists because of people. Volunteers who show up for shifts after long workdays. Staff who stay late and come in early. Neighbors who bring food, supplies, and care without being asked twice. It is a quiet, steady kind of love that keeps the doors open.
But extended operations also mean extended needs.
If you are able to help, here are the most urgent items we need to get us through the week:
Food & Drink
• Ready-to-heat meals
• Frozen burritos
• Chicken tenders / strips
• French fries
• Blackened chicken alfredo (Sam’s)
• Olive oil
• Canned fruits and vegetables
• Bottled water and more bottled water!
• Snack items
Kitchen & Dining
• Plastic forks & spoons
• Coffee creamer
• 12 oz disposable coffee cups
• Salt & pepper
Facility & Cleaning
• Toilet paper
• Bandaids
• General cleaning supplies
• Disinfectant for restrooms & tables
• Air freshener
• 33-gallon trash bags
• Kitchen-size trash bags
Financial Support
• Monetary donations (cash or checks also accepted), please click the “donate” button at bit.ly/hotspringscrc
Every single item on this list helps someone eat a warm meal, use a clean restroom, or sleep in a safe place for one more night.
The is one of those moments where community becomes more than a word.
It becomes action!
Hot Springs has always had a big heart — and right now, that heart is what’s keeping people warm.
Donations may be dropped off Monday through Friday from 8am to 5pm at the CRC, 109 Hobson Ave., Hot Springs (the corner of Hobson & Charteroak)
