I pray everyone has a Happy New Year. I’d like to inform all of my patients that starting February 1, 2025, I will be solely admitting to Southeast Georgia Health Systems in Brunswick Ga. This includes all hospital admissions, surgeries, and deliveries. My office in Jesup will continue to operate as it has for 29 years. As most of you are aware, this decision is not what I planned. However, due to circumstances out of my control, I will no longer be admitting to Wayne Memorial Hospital after January 31, 2025. My time providing women’s healthcare at Wayne Memorial Hospital has been a pleasure and much like a second home for me. Many of the employees are my closest friends and honestly, I consider them my family. From the nurses to housekeeping to dietary and all other departments in between, we’ve always looked after each other. It has been very difficult for me to accept this transition. My heart will always be full of good memories of our time caring for the community together. To my colleagues, Dr. Jones, Dr. Thomas, Dr. Harris, Dr. Coleman, and both Dr. Collipp’s, it has been a privilege to work with such dedicated and skilled physicians. Thank you for the excellent care you have provided my patients. I would also like to thank administration and the hospital authority for their support of me and the department. I am excited about the future of the Women’s Health Center, and my staff and I look forward to continuing to care for the women of Wayne and surrounding counties. We are excited about our new affiliation with Southeast Georgia Health Systems and the enhanced services that this affiliation will offer my patients.
