Call us at 912-427-6999 with any questions or concerns you have about taking the vaccine.

Over the last nine months, we recognize that COVID-19 vaccinations have become an increasingly polarizing topic. Across social media, we see those who are very strongly for it and those who are very strongly against it. This tension has made it difficult for those who are unsure about receiving the COVID-19 vaccine to ask questions. It has caused some people to not ask questions for clarity due to fear of verbal attacks from either side of the vaccination “debate”.

If you are unsure about receiving the COVID-19 vaccine, instead of engaging in the heated realm of social media platforms where quality and accurate information is more challenging to find, we encourage you to contact your trusted healthcare provider. By going to a trusted source, you are more likely to be able to ask the questions you would like to know the answers to without fear of negative reaction. After conversation(s) with your provider about your health concerns, we encourage you to then make the choice that works best for you, your family and those in your life.

I was talking once with my friend, Dwight, over at Jesup Tractor. He mentioned to me that he only uses gasoline which is ethanol free for his tractor and his small engine equipment. He said older engines and small engines were damaged by the ethanol. So, now I buy ethanol free gas for my tractor. After all, Dwight is a tractor genius. If that is what he does for all of his machinery, that is what I want to do with mine.

This got me thinking about this whole coronavirus situation. It occurred to me not too many people are able to really evaluate the information they are being bombarded with from the media concerning Covid 19, just as I am not really able to fix a tractor.

I was talking with Sondra Grantham (our Infection Control person) over at Wayne Memorial Hospital. She related to me an interesting fact. 100% of the doctors who practice at Wayne Memorial have been vaccinated against the Covid 19. It is a part of our job as doctors to evaluate and interpret the current information being passed out by the media concerning Covid 19 just like it is a part of Dwight's job description to know about how ethanol can harm an old tractor engine. We are all vaccinated. 100%.

Respectfully,

Dr. Daniel Collipp, D.O.

Please get vaccinated.
