Outreach Grantee Ashley Drapeau, MPAS, MAC, PA-C, led a Long COVID ketamine retreat that profoundly advanced her mission as a PA to deliver innovative, whole-person care that empowers patients to heal beyond the limits of conventional medicine. Great job grantee!

She added “Guiding participants through a deeply integrative experience required balancing safety, science, and compassion, honoring both evidence and the uncertainty inherent in emerging treatments. This work deepened my empathy, strengthened my interdisciplinary collaboration skills, and affirmed my belief that PAs can lead transformative care models. Navigating the logistical and emotional complexities of the retreat taught me humility, adaptability, and the value of creating spaces where patients feel seen and supported. Ultimately, this experience redefined my role from provider to facilitator of healing, reinforcing my purpose to pioneer compassionate, evidence-informed approaches for those living with post-viral and chronic illness.”
