The South Atlantic Cardiovascular Society (SACS) is a non-for-profit, professional organization that works to promote the advancement of current knowledge and skills in the field of cardiovascular care, and to improve patient care by bringing together cardiologists and cardiac surgeons in collaborative discussions regarding the optimal treatment of cardiac conditions, whether medical or surgical. The core of the organization is comprised of cardiac-care professionals in the South Atlantic states of Florida, Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina and Virginia. The SACS Annual Meeting is an educational conference where the latest scientific information and strategies in caring for patients with both common and complex cardiovascular disease are presented and debated in an interactive format. The conference’s timely topics, pro/con debate format and relaxed atmosphere make it a popular event among cardiovascular physicians, surgeons and industry colleagues.
