We are thrilled to announce that Rainbow Community Care has officially completed a year-long strategic planning journey to ensure we can serve South-Central Wisconsin for decades to come.

Thanks to a generous $30,000 Capacity Building Grant from the Greater Watertown Community Health Foundation, and the expert guidance of inVantage Consulting, our leadership team has moved from reactive planning to a proactive, visionary roadmap.

What does this mean for our patients and families? ✨ More aligned, mission-driven care. ✨ Better tools to navigate the changing healthcare landscape. ✨ A leadership team and Board of Directors more united than ever.

"This roadmap ensures we can meet the growing needs of our community for years to come," said Rainbow CEO, Carol Brown.

We had a truly heartwarming evening at our Rainbow Hospice Inpatient Center Wednesday night. 💜

Our Rainbow Community Care Bereavement team hosted a Memorial Ornament Craft Event where participants created beautiful, personalized ornaments to honor loved ones. It was a privilege to witness the care and love poured into each keepsake, as participants transformed personal mementos—like photos and favorite fabrics—into cherished holiday ornaments.

Crafting alongside Bereavement Counselor Hilary Furnish, Educator Terry Hein, and a RCC volunteer, participants found a supportive space to honor their grief and include their loved one's memory in their holiday season.

The ornaments are a beautiful reminder that while they are absent, their memory is always present. Thank you to everyone who participated in this special night of remembrance and connection.

💖 Volunteer Spotlight: Meet Eileen, Our Dedicated Cashier! 💖

We are thrilled to launch our new monthly Volunteer Spotlight series by featuring the wonderful Eileen!

Eileen is one of the friendly faces you'll meet at the Thrift Shoppe register, where she loves catching up with old friends and meeting new ones.

She has been with us since we opened, but her connection to our mission goes back even further. Eileen shares that her volunteer work is deeply personal.
"We used the services of Rainbow in 2010 when my 22-year-old son was diagnosed with stomach cancer," Eileen said. "It is a great organization that assists families during the hardest time in their lives."

Knowing her time at the Thrift Shoppe directly supports local hospice and palliative care programs gives her a "great feeling" to assist those in need.
Eileen's advice for anyone considering volunteering is simple: "The hours can be very flexible, and the jobs that volunteers do are easily learned!"

What a night! ✨ A huge thank you to our incredible Rainbow Community Care and Friends in Action volunteers who lit up our Volunteer Holiday Party & Open House at the IPC in Johnson Creek on Wednesday!

Your dedication throughout the year is truly the heartbeat of Rainbow Hospice Care. Every moment you give means the world to our patients, their families, and our staff—thank you for your selfless contributions.

We also had the joy of a visit from the Watertown High School Carolers! 🎶 Their annual performance is a cherished tradition that instantly wraps us all in the holiday spirit.

Huge appreciation also goes to our amazing Rainbow staff for making the magic happen behind the scenes! Happy Holidays!
