Happy Employee Appreciation Day to the incredible team that cares for our community every day. 🍩

We celebrated this morning with donuts as a small thank you for the compassion, dedication, and hard work our staff bring to patient care and to supporting their colleagues each day. Our employees truly make the difference for the patients, residents, and families we serve.

Interested in joining a team that values its people (and occasionally shares donuts)? We currently have several positions available and would love to have you be part of our team.

Every hospital job supports more than just one paycheck. For every 100 hospital jobs, another 74 jobs are supported in non-health care sectors. And every $1,000 in current hospital wages and salaries sustains an additional $475 in income for other industries. From grocery stores and restaurants to utilities and local services, that’s the ripple effect of investing in hospitals and the health care workforce.

🩸 Severe Blood Shortage – Local Opportunity to Help 🩸

The American Red Cross shared on February 9 that we continue to face a severe blood shortage, made worse by recent extreme winter weather. About 800 blood drives have been canceled since the beginning of the year, leading to more than 20,000 uncollected blood and platelet donations.

There is an urgent need for donors to help patients counting on lifesaving blood following accidents, during surgeries, and for treatment of conditions such as sickle cell disease and cancer.

💉 You can help right here in our community.

A local blood drive is scheduled for:

📅 Tuesday, March 10
⏰ 12:00 p.m. – 5:30 p.m.
📍 Johnson City Community Blood Drive
4H-Building – Main Room
702 S. Knox, Johnson

Schedule your appointment today by visiting RedCrossBlood.org and entering sponsor code: johnsoncity
Or call 1-800-RED CROSS (1-800-733-2767).

Let’s come together to help beat this shortage and support patients in need. ❤️ Please consider donating — and share to spread the word.

When you sign up to donate you will be provided chili and cinnamon rolls as a special THANK YOU for your time and donation. ❤️
