We just got back from the ISPA Conference in Las Vegas and my brain is still full.
I’ll be honest — I’m not a naturally positive person. It’s something I work on. So sitting in a room with thousands of people in this industry listening to Jay Shetty talk about training your mind for peace and purpose hit differently than I expected.
He shared a study where two groups of hospital cleaners were asked about their work. The first group saw themselves the way most people would — cleaning floors, making beds, doing the job. The second group called themselves hospital healers. They believed that because of what they did, patients recovered faster, felt safer, and healed better.
Same job. Completely different identity.
I thought about our team immediately. About what we actually do at Hush. We’re not just doing facials and massages. We’re creating an environment where people’s nervous systems can finally exhale. Where they feel taken care of. Where they leave different than they arrived.
That’s worth showing up for every day.
We also heard from Diana Kander who said something I keep coming back to — stop asking how can we improve and start asking how can we reimagine. I think that’s the question for Hush in 2026.
More to come on what we’re bringing back.
