Holiday Giveback Week 8 Our Final Week - NAMI Will-Grundy💙 Christmas Day Edition. 🎄

This final week of our Holiday Giveback is one that truly comes from the heart.

Mental health is a real and often lifelong struggle. It is quiet, unseen, and carried by so many in our community. It affects our families, our friends, and our neighbors. We all have mental health, and it deserves the same care and compassion as our physical health.

We are honored to support NAMI Will-Grundy, a trusted local organization that has provided support, education, and hope to individuals and families for nearly 20 years.

During the visit April and Grand Daughter Ellie, toured The Living Room at Trinity Services and it left a lasting impression. The Living Room is a free, short term support space for adults experiencing emotional distress or a mental health crisis. Guests can stay up to four days in a calm, welcoming, non clinical environment designed to help them de escalate, feel safe, and talk one on one with trained staff who truly listen. Sometimes what people need most is time, understanding, and someone to talk to and this space provides exactly that.

“This is our last day of giving, and this organization was intentionally chosen. Mental health is personal for so many of us, including myself, and it’s not always easy to talk about, especially when it involves people we love.

Having a resource like NAMI in our community matters more than ever. They show up not only for individuals who are struggling, but also for family members who are trying to navigate, understand, and support someone they care deeply about.

We are grateful to support an organization that reminds us we don’t have to do this alone. Today, we’re proud to give back to something that offers hope, education, and compassion when it’s needed most.”

Last month, we launched our Holiday Make-A-Wish Program… and our community showed up in ways we’ll never forget.

We received over 60 nominations, stories of parents doing everything they can, families quietly struggling, and people who continue to give even when they have very little left. Reading them changed us.

We wish we could have helped everyone. Choosing was incredibly hard. But thanks to this amazing community, each of our locations was able to grant a wish that truly mattered:

💙 Emediate Cure Quick Care-Joliet
A proud mom nominated her son who’s working hard to build his future. His wish was simple: a laptop to continue his education and chase his dreams. We were honored to put that opportunity in his hands.

💜 Shorewood
A mother of six shared that her family didn’t even have a couch. No place to gather. No place to rest. We were grateful to gift her a $500 Joliet ReStore certificate so she can finally choose a couch and create a space that feels like home.

These nominations weren’t for extras, they were for groceries. Families just trying to get through the holidays. We were humbled to provide five families with $200 Aldi gift cards, helping fill tables and ease a little stress this season.

🎁 Week 7 of Emediate Cure’s Holiday Giveback 🎄

This week, we’re honored to support Jayson, Taylor, and Ellie Kubinski’s Holiday giveback recipient - Big Brothers Big Sisters of Will and Grundy Counties with a $1,000 donation, an organization whose impact is felt one child, one relationship, and one moment at a time.

Their mission is simple, yet powerful: to create and support one-to-one mentoring relationships that ignite the power and promise of youth.

Right now, they’re looking ahead to 2026 with a goal to match every child with a mentor. And becoming a “Big” is more doable than many people realize.

It’s just 3–4 hours a month for one year.
Time spent playing sports, going on a hike, reading together, sharing a slice of pizza, or simply offering encouragement and advice.

These everyday moments become something extraordinary for a child who’s been waiting for someone to show up.

💙 Sometimes, all it takes to change a life is consistency, care, and belief.

🚨Joliet Police Annual Holiday Food Drive: Patrol for Hunger 2025🚨

This is the FINAL week to donate! Our food drive ends on Friday, December 19th!

The Joliet Police Department is proud to once again partner with The Salvation Army Joliet Corps Community Center for our annual holiday food drive: 'Patrol for Hunger'. We're collecting non-perishable food items at locations throughout Joliet to help Joliet-area individuals & families in need. Every food donation helps to make a very real difference right here in our community! We can all work together to ensure no one in Joliet goes hungry this holiday season!
