Get to know our Director of Operations, Jesse Vobornik! His journey is one of redemption and purpose. After years of battling addiction and the hopelessness that came with it, Jesse experienced the life-changing freedom found through God’s grace, a turning point that ignited his calling to help others find the same healing.

Today, Jesse helps lead the daily operations of our program with structure, integrity, and heart. Most importantly, he works closely with our residents, creating the kind of environment he once needed himself, one built on dignity, accountability, and hope. His leadership goes beyond logistics; it reflects a deep understanding of the recovery journey and a commitment to walking alongside others as they rebuild their lives.

Today, the men shared something powerful. Each one explained the painting on his mask—what it represents, what it hides, and what it’s been protecting for so long.

It was a sobering moment to realize that in one way or another, so many of us wear a mask… not just to hide from others, but to hide from who we believe we are.

There was sadness in the room—because no one should have to carry that kind of weight alone. But there was comfort too… because for the first time, many realized they’re not the only one.

Healing begins when the mask comes off. 🤍

Last night at The Healing Center, we officially celebrated the opening of The Stable by The Talor Gooch Foundation longside Talor and Ally Gooch — a milestone moment in partnership with Hope is Alive that is already transforming lives.

What began as a shared calling years ago has become a place where men are finding true healing, families are being restored, and generational change is taking root. Talor and Ally have poured their hearts into this mission, and it is an honor to stand beside them as they continue building spaces where freedom is possible.

Now, we look ahead.

The Women’s Lodge represents the next step — creating a safe, dignified, and life-giving space designed specifically for women fighting addiction. For too long, women have had fewer options and fewer spaces tailored to their unique journeys. We have the opportunity to change that.

We hope to expand The Healing Center to welcome women from across the country into a sanctuary built for whole-person healing — in their hearts, minds, and lives.

Lives are being transformed. Families are being reunited. Generations are being changed.

There’s something powerful about asking, “What do I want for myself?”

Not what others expect.
Not what addiction dictated.
Not what fear whispered.
But what was placed inside from the very beginning.

Today, one resident shared his desire to discover who he truly is—so he can begin living the life God intended for him. Not surviving. Not striving. But living with purpose, identity, and freedom.

Powerful Family Weekend at The Healing Center 💛

Our Family Weekend is an intentional space to heal, reconnect, and strengthen family systems, and this weekend was truly transformational.

Ally shared on the recovery model, families heard from HIA alumni about succeeding in sobriety, and together we stepped into meaningful family restoration work. With Finding Hope joining us, the room was filled with courage, honesty, and real connection.

We are so proud of the families who showed up ready to grow and grateful for the vulnerability and love that made healing possible. The work continues, together.
