It is with very heavy hearts that we share the passing of one of our sweet students, Jacob Garland, after his brave battle with cancer.

Jacob brought so much light, joy, and love to our school family. His smile and spirit will never be forgotten. We are incredibly grateful for the time we had with him.

Please keep Jacob’s family in your thoughts and prayers during this heartbreaking time. He will forever hold a special place in our hearts.

🎨✨ A Special Day at the Bradbury Art Museum! ✨🎨

Today, our Academy students had the amazing opportunity to visit the Bradbury Art Museum at Arkansas State University to see artwork they helped create on display!

The featured piece, “Sense and Sensibilities: A Textured Mosaic Adventure” by Susan Whiteland, includes mosaic tiles and found objects — and our students had a hand in helping bring this beautiful textured artwork to life. Seeing their creativity represented in a museum setting was such a proud and joyful moment for all of us!

We are so grateful to the Bradbury Art Museum and Susan Whiteland for featuring our students’ work and welcoming us to visit in person. Our kids had the BEST time exploring the museum and seeing their contributions up close. Experiences like this mean so much and remind us how powerful art can be. 💙

The exhibition will continue through March 13th, so there’s still time to see it!

Due to weather-related closures earlier this year, The Academy will be using the following dates as Snow Make-Up Days:

These days were previously scheduled as closed, but students will now attend school as normal on both dates.

We had the BEST time celebrating Valentine’s Day at our school parties yesterday! ❤️ From sweet treats and fun games to lots of laughter and friendship, it was such a special day for our students and staff.

A huge thank you to our amazing staff and parents for helping make this celebration so memorable. Your support, kindness, and effort truly made the day extra special for our kids! 💌✨

We are so grateful to have such a wonderful school community. Happy Valentine’s Day from all of us at The Academy Elementary & Middle School! 💗

📢 Important Update – Monday February 2nd

All locations — TLC - The Learning Center pre-K, The Academy, and the Adult Center — will be open tomorrow, February 2nd.

🚌 Buses will be running, however, please note that some areas remain inaccessible due to road conditions.
Chris will be reaching out directly to the families affected.
