Corns on feet are one of the most common foot problems. These are the thickened layers of skin that form as a result of friction and pressure.

Wearing shoes and socks that fit appropriately helps prevent the development of corns.

If you have corns on your feet, you may soak them in warm water and then file the affected area with a pumice stone. Using a moisturizer with salicylic acid, urea, or ammonium lactate might also help in softening the dry skin.

Remember that a doctor or podiatrist who specializes in foot care should be consulted if the corn is really painful or if the patient has diabetes, fragile skin, or circulatory problems.
