We’re proud to share that our team attended the 2026 Social Work Action Coalition (SWAC) Annual Conference in Little Rock, a three-day event centered on the theme “Deep Roots, Real Impact.”

Vice President of Operations Haley Thomas, Osceola Clinical Supervisor Scott Burcham, and Public Relations Coordinator Creston Sweet represented Families, Inc. Counseling Services, joining social work professionals from across the state for several days of education, connection, and renewal.

Haley and Scott also presented during a concurrent session titled “Multiple Generations of Today: Our Clients and Colleagues.” Their presentation explored the dynamics of today’s multigenerational workforce and client populations, offering practical strategies for communication, collaboration, and understanding across generations.

Throughout the conference, Creston connected with attendees at our booth—sharing information, answering questions, and engaging others about the services Families, Inc. provides across our communities.

We’re thankful for opportunities like this to learn, collaborate, and continue strengthening the impact we make every day. 💙

In a world where it’s easy to get caught up in being right, we’re reminded that kindness will always matter more. 💛

Every day gives us the opportunity to choose how we show up—for our families, our coworkers, our community, and even ourselves. A little patience, a little understanding, and a little compassion can go a long way.

Choose kindness. It has the power to change someone’s day—and sometimes even their life.

Sometimes the most powerful words are the ones we don’t hear often enough.

If you needed this reminder today — you matter. You are important. Your voice deserves to be heard, and your feelings are valid. So many people struggle quietly, but you are not alone, and you are worthy.

Take your power back. Speak up. Give yourself the same compassion you so freely give others.

You are not alone. You are not worthless.
You are life. You are love. 💛

If you or someone you know needs support, we’re here.

🌟 Investing in the Future of Our Youth 🌟

Osceola Clinical Supervisor Scott Burcham, Public Relations Coordinator Creston Sweet, and HR Generalist DeShawnna DeFord recently attended the 2026 Arkansas Northeastern College Youth Summit.

During the event, the team had the opportunity to speak with area 7th and 8th grade students about “Next Level You” and thinking about their future selves. Their presentation focused on important life lessons including the impact of your online image and presence, the value of accountability and responsibility, and the importance of building strong relationships. They also discussed how different factors can affect people in different ways, but emphasized that determination and resilience can help overcome challenges.

📸 Creston even captured a few great moments of Scott and DeShawnna presenting to the students.

This marks our second year presenting at the Youth Summit, and we are incredibly thankful for the continued invitation and our strong partnership with Arkansas Northeastern College.

We are always excited for opportunities to encourage and invest in the next generation. The future is bright for our youth, and we’re proud to play a small role in helping them prepare for it! 💙
