NEA Baptist Health System is comprised of the 228-bed NEA Baptist Hospital and NEA Baptist Clinic, one of northeast Arkansas' largest physician groups. Dec. 8th, the Watchman Program reached an exciting milestone — our 100th procedure since the program’s inception in February 2024.

The very first Watchman implant was performed by Dr. David Lan on February 16,2024, establishing the foundation of what has now become a strong and steadily growing program.
Dr. Awar continues that momentum, beginning implants in June 2025, and most recently, Dr. Ore, our new Electrophysiologist, joined the NEA Baptist Structural Heart Team and started implanting in September 2025

This milestone highlights the dedication, collaboration, and proficiency of our entire Structural Heart team. Thank you.
