Regardless of the cause, when you lose a tooth, you may experience bone loss in your jawbone. As time goes by, you may experience enough bone loss that dental implants won’t hold. If this is the case, we may recommend bone grafting.

Bone grafting is a procedure where we replace the missing bone in your jaw. There are three types: autogenous (boney from another part of your body), allograft (human bone, but not yours), and xenograft (bones from another source). The benefit of using either allografts or xenografts is that our patients will not have to have a second surgery to harvest their bone.

Yes, we offer deep cleanings for our patients!
🦷 ✨
Professional cleanings will remove the buildup of plaque and tartar. Then, your teeth are polished nicely. If you need it, fluoride will be applied to your teeth. We will also preserve any teeth that you have had restored. Professional cleanings also give our dentists a chance to really look at your teeth. We will do a thorough examination to make sure that you don’t have any other problems that need to be addressed. We are hoping to catch any little problems before they become bigger ones!

Thompson and Jackson Periodontics and Implant Dentistry is proud to to offer nitrous oxide sedation for our patients.

Nitrous oxide is a very safe form of sedation. It is inhaled and the effects start within a few seconds. It can be adjusted quickly if a patient is too light or too deep. Also, after a few minutes without the gas, it is safe to drive home.

Nitrous oxide makes many people feel happy and warm. It causes a lot of people to laugh so it is often called laughing gas. It is great for sedation when a person is nervous at the dentist. It is also a great pain relief. Our goal is to keep you as relaxed as possible, no matter what procedure that we are performing.

Effective January 1, 2026 our office will no longer be in network with Delta Dental.

We will still file Delta Dental Insurance, but it will pay at an out of network rate.
