We are pleased and excited to announce our newest addition to the fleet. There are a few things still to do before she is in Service but she is home! The 2007 Chevrolet Marque has finished her service - we welcome our 2025 Ford Crestline!

Exciting equipment addition!

We wrote a grant this year to the Stephen and Tabitha King Foundation and received enough to buy a refurbished Lifepak 15 cardiac monitor!

It is now in service on Moosabec50! This replaces an obsolete Lifepak monitor that has been in service for many, many years and is getting more difficult to find anyone who will repair or service.

We are so pleased to be able to update this equipment in order to better serve our communities!

AFGHAN RAFFLE!!

We have received a generous gift of a homemade 100% Maine wool Afghan to use as a fundraiser for the Ambulance Service! (Thank you, Sue Cabral!)

We will be selling tickets at $5/each all this week. The drawing will be held on Saturday, June 29 around 4pm at the Moosabec Ambulance Crew Quarters. You do not need to be present to win.

Breakfast sandwiches are back!

This Saturday, June 29 from 7-11am we will be selling breakfast sandwiches (with coffee and juice options) at 40 Main St, Jonesport (next to Paul’s Garage).

Sandwiches will be $5/each and all monies raised will go to support our dedicated ambulance crew members!

Moosabec Ambulance is holding an open house this Saturday, May 25 from 10am-2pm at our crew quarters, 138 Main St, Jonesport!

We will be selling hamburgers and hot dogs! You can explore both our Ambulances! Free blood pressure checks! And lots of fun!

Our crew can’t wait to see you!

Our ambulance crew had a blast with the kids at Beals and Jonesport Elementary Schools today!

As part of EMS week, we went to the schools to show them some of our medical equipment, teach them what to do in case of an emergency, and interact with them so they understand first responders are there to help them.

All the students were attentive and asked some great questions! The younger students went home with goody bags and the older ones received a pocket first aid kit. And everyone has a great time!

This week is EMS week - that special time of year when we recognize the important part Emergency Medical Services plays in our healthy communities!

Here at Moosabec Ambulance Service we have a busy week planned! In addition to our regular 911 coverage, we will be going into Beals and Jonesport Elementary Schools and Jonesport/Beals High School to meet with the students and give them an overview of what EMS does every day!

And on Saturday, May 25, we will be having an open house for the public at our crew quarters (138 Main St., Jonesport) from 10am-2pm with lots of fun stuff to see and do! See you there!

And if you see any of our crew around this week, be sure to wish them a Happy EMS Week!

IT'S HAPPENING! EMT Class starting April 13 in Columbia!! You won't get any closer than that! It will be a hybrid course (online and in-person labs) that will run through the end of June. Online will be Tuesday and Thursday evenings and labs will be every other weekend (Sat/Sun). If interested, let me or Mariah Curtis know so we can get you signed up!
