I’m on my fourth spread, and every color, every line, is done by hand — the old-fashioned way. No tablets or fancy programs, just pencils, paper, and a few quiet minutes whenever I can find them.
I draw in the car line, during lunch breaks, and while waiting at practices — all the little in-between spaces of life. Between teaching, being a mom, keeping LBB going, and now illustrating this book, I’ve learned that creativity doesn’t need perfect timing… just a willing heart and a steady hand. 💛
