Meet Ron and Jenny from Ft Smith Arkansas. They have been volunteers for the CURE for 10 years. They came today to get our extras to put on a boat to Nigeria, Africa to help supply a new hospital being built. Their last shipment went to Ukraine 4 months ago. I love that we are able to partner with them to make sure our supplies are not wasted. ❤️❤️

Here is the final segment in my Medicare series. This is about part D and is important information.
You can change your drug plan every year.
Go to the medicare website and choose “find a drug plan”
Enter your medications
Choose up to 5 pharmacies to compare
Look at the premium, deductible, and total cost. This may vary significantly based on pharmacy.
**Max out of pocket will be $2,000 for the year
You can set up a payment plan with your insurance for the $2,000.
The is no longer a coverage gap or donut hole.

Testimony Tuesday!

“I had an unplanned belly surgery that ended in my needing a colostomy for months. I was in the hospital for an extended period of time and was so weak when I was discharged that I couldn’t get to my medical appointments
without a wheelchair. I didn’t have insurance at the time so the only option was for me to borrow from someone.

Fortunately my hospital case manager told me about the Medical Loan Closet of Joplin and they were able to give me a walker and a wheelchair that I used for months.

I was able to get my colostomy supplies through a program however when I ran out adhesive remover pads I was able to get some from the loan closet.

I am doing so much better now and don’t even have a colostomy anymore!!! When I was done with my supplies I donated them to the loan closet to help someone else ❤️”.

Open Enrollment for Medicare starts on Wednesday Oct 15th and goes through December 7th. I have been doing a 4 part series on Living Well to explain Medicare. This is the 3rd part on Advantage plans. I will post the last one tomorrow on part D.

Let me know if you have questions. Everyone has different needs so my main advice is to pick a plan that is best for YOU. Kids, help your Medicare age parents. This is very confusing for all of us.

We are so honored to have been chosen to receive this quarters donation from 100 Women Who Care Jasper/Newton!!! We need a new vehicle to pick equipment up with so this is a huge blessing!

I love this organization both as the leader of a nonprofit and a woman who wants to financially support a nonprofit. Each quarter 3 nonprofits are nominated to present for 5 min. At the end of the presentations there is a vote and the winning charity gets a check for at least $100 from each member. It’s suck an easy way to learn about charities in our area and to give in a meaningful way! They are looking for more members if you are interested.

Testimony Tuesday!

We are so thankful to be able to collaborate with local agencies to serve our community. We met Barbara and Sara at a recent networking event. These ladies work for Early Head Start as home visitors. When they heard that we had a large supply for incontinence supplies they came to pick some up to distribute to the families they see ❤️❤️.
