Oh hi. It’s me. Ed. 🐾
Therapy dog in training. Professional tail-wagger. Part-time yoga nap assistant. Full-time love observer.
This month at McNab Wellness has been… wow. If I had opposable thumbs, I’d journal about it. Since I don’t, you’re getting the barked version.
I’ve seen so much love inside those walls. The quiet kind. The brave kind. The “I showed up even when it was hard” kind. I’ve watched people walk in carrying stress on their shoulders and leave a little lighter. I’ve seen hugs that last just a second longer than usual. I’ve seen instructors guide classes with steady voices and soft encouragement. I’ve witnessed deep breaths that felt like tiny acts of courage.
And let me tell you something from nose-level: the energy at McNab isn’t just about wellness. It’s about belonging.
I saw that same kind of love at Plant Forward this month. Different setting, same heart. People gathering around nourishing food, sharing space, choosing health together. There’s something beautiful about watching humans connect over meals that are made with intention. I mostly connected with the smells, but still — it counts.
What amazes me most is the community that’s been created here. The McNab community isn’t accidental. It’s built in small moments — checking in on someone, saving a mat spot, staying after class to talk, celebrating wins big and small. It’s built in showing up. Over and over again.
From my vantage point on the floor during savasana (prime cuddle position, by the way), I can feel it. The trust. The safety. The gratitude. The love.
And as a therapy dog in training, I’m learning that healing doesn’t always look dramatic. Sometimes it looks like someone choosing to come back next week. Sometimes it looks like laughter in the lobby. Sometimes it looks like stillness.
This month, I didn’t just practice being a therapy dog.
I practiced witnessing love.
And wow… you humans are doing something really special here.
With a full heart and a very relaxed tail,
Ed 🐶
