Christmas blessings.
For those good people who are working during Christmas, I extend my gratitude for the service you are providing. Whether you work in a convenience store, provide care to the sick and Elderly, provide a public service to keep us safe, or in the army on duty; whatever has you working on Christmas day, thank you. What you do is truly a gift, for there is no greater gift than serving your community. May every person you encounter be filled with the peaceful feelings of Christmas and treat you with kindness.
I pray for those who are in the hospitals recovering from their illness on Christmas day. I pray that they are comfortably resting and their bodies are mending so that they can return to a healthier state. I pray for the people living with terminal illness or chronic pain, may you find yourself in a physical stage of relaxation and contentment so that you can enjoy the beauty of the day. I pray for those who are healing from injuries. May your day be pain free as you remember to be mindful of your body and be gentle with yourself. May you remember not to rush or stress because you want to pitch in and help; it is time to and others to help you. The individuals, who are supportive of you when you are sick, injured or in pain are compassionate helpers sent to nurture your wellbeing. Allow them to nourish their ability to give and provide a gift of service for others.
If you are alone, allow this day to be one that you celebrate the miracle of your life. May the people that are present with you next Christmas, be a beautiful light in your life. If you choose solitude or cannot be with the people you love this Christmas day, may you allow yourself to focus on the fact that you are comfortable in your own company, something that many continue to search for in their personal healing journeys.
I pray for the victims of crime, may caring and empathic people surround you so that your healing is gentle and your triggers lessen. May the joy of your day provide you moments of joy. May you understand in every possible manner that you did not attract this action. May all your future encounters be blessed with kind and loving people.
I pray for the sons, daughters, mothers, fathers, grandfathers, grandmothers, uncles, aunties, niece, nephew, siblings and cousins that are incarcerated this Christmas day due to the harmful choices they made. I pray that their active participation in program designed promotes their healing journey. May they return to their communities in a healthy way so that they do not create more victims.
I pray for those who have lost a loved one this year. I can only imagine how much you feel your loved ones absence. The bond you felt for precious relative shall be eternally shared between your two hearts. I know your tragic loss is hard to fathom, yet, the gift your loved one gave in their time here in the physical world shall be remembered among the sweetest moments of the lives they touched. Please remember that they came to educate and were incredible teacher of love. I have no doubt that you will meet again and when you do, your bond will make your reunion extremely joyful. On Christmas and other days, may you be gentle with your grief and allow healing to occur as naturally and as long as it needs to.
I pray for the rest of Creation and Mother Earth. May all Creation be treated and honoured with respectful consideration. I also express grateful for pets that love unconditionally. May we learn to love in the same manner that you do.
I pray for the Elders, ceremonial people, for the people of different spiritual and religious affiliations. Let it be the spirit of Christmas that guides you and your actions that honours all our relations from all parts of the world. For example, every now and then, 'don't forget the reason for the season'. I appreciate this reminder because over the years I have come to understand the reason for the season is to celebrate love, generosity and gratitude. As we honour our ability to demonstrate the sacred values of love that Creator gifted each of us with, we gather to share a feast to celebrate and honour those we are blessed to journey through life with. I believe that we are interconnected because we are spiritual beings and during this time of the year when giving is accepted and love is celebrated, the ‘reason for the season’ becomes a way of honouring our sacred connection with one another. The same reason is symbolized in each gift that we give this holiday season because we are honouring our sacred connections as spiritual beings. The sentiment ‘reason for the season’ when viewed through a spiritual lens, turns into a prayer for all humanity regardless of what our beliefs are; because we are expressing the most wondrous gift of all, love for all our relations, our fellow spiritual beings; or in other words, our fellow human family.
Gentle readers, may these days of blessings and sharing remind you of all the happiness that you have experienced until this Christmas day. May the delight you feel as you gather with your friends and family bring you firmly into each present moment so that you can fully experience the joy of giving and receiving without condition. May you fully comprehend that the gifts you are given (or give) are designed to demonstrate just how much you matter, or care. Regardless of the gift size you receive or give, whether it is big or small, handmade or store bought, may you allow the message of the gifts be the inspiration that you are seeking so that you are guided towards your future possibilities.
May the feeling of giving and receiving fully awaken the playful spirit that resides within you so that joy and wonder are alive in your heart. Whether you are alone or surrounded by many, may your spirit dance as you feel the energy of the season that surrounds you. May your heart resonate with peaceful feelings of this special day so that you comprehend fully just how much you are loved and cherished.
From my family to yours, Merry Christmas! May you be blessed with a beautiful abundance of love.
