Can hormone replacement therapy (HRT) really cause breast cancer?

The Women’s Health Initiative Hormone Therapy trials originally linked (HRT) with breast cancer, but there are a few issues with this study.

Dr. Roberts explains why these findings cannot be accepted as conclusive.

▪️Additionally, as of yesterday, HHS repealed the black box warnings on HRT.

🇺🇸This announcement from HHS is an unbelievable step forward in addressing America’s health crisis.

For too long, women have been discouraged from exploring hormone replacement therapy (HRT) due to projected “risks,” which do not apply to everyone.

As a result, these women are missing out on a treatment that could transform their journey through menopause.

This is the beginning of a personalized healthcare system—where your health is customized to your needs and not limited by the opinions or interests of others.

🧪How should you test your hormones?? Did you know blood tests are not always the most accurate?

Saliva tests or blood spot (finger-prick) tests can oftentimes give a clearer picture of your hormone levels.

🌱At Customized Relief, we believe in getting to the root cause of your health conditions, which is why we use the most accurate testing methods.

🧠Did you know there are three different types of estrogen?

1️⃣ Estriol
2️⃣ Estradiol
3️⃣ Estrone

All three metabolize in the liver, but they travel down different pathways with varying impacts on your risk for breast cancer.

🧬Dr. Roberts explains how genetic testing can help determine whether you have a specific enzyme present which will steer estrogen down a higher risk pathway.

At Customized Relief, we believe in personalized healthcare—including genetic testing—to ensure you receive care that is right for YOU.

🩸Does Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT) really increase your risk of blood clots??

Three common risks associated with HRT are:
❌Deep Vein Thrombosis (DVT)
❌Heart Attack
❌Stroke

All are serious conditions, and all are related to blood clotting.

But is this true for every form of HRT?👇🏻

💊When taking the oral form, estrogen will clear through the liver, which increases clotting factors and can increase your risk for all three.

However, if you take the trans-dermal (across the skin) form of HRT, there is no evidence of an increased risk in clotting factors.

It’s not HRT itself that presents a risk of blood clots, but the form you take it in. You especially want to be mindful of this if you have a history of any of these three conditions.

💧Can the water you drink really have an impact on your fertility??

Bottled water can contain phthalates—chemicals that mimic estrogen in the body, which may affect your fertility and disrupt your hormones.

Even a cheap filter from the grocery store can make a big difference for your reproductive health!

Does what you eat and drink REALLY affect your fertility?🤔

Infertility can be affected by a host of different factors, but a major cause of infertility in America is inflammation.

Dr. Roberts gives tips on how to eat in a way that reduces inflammation in your body so that it can support a healthy pregnancy—even down to the type of cow your milk is coming from. 🐄

🌱At Customized Relief, we take a holistic approach in order to diagnose the root cause of infertility in patients, which often includes diet.

⚠️ If you have high blood pressure, you should use caution with Methylene Blue.

Methylene Blue can slow down nitric oxide synthase—an enzyme which naturally reduces your blood pressure.

If you already have high blood pressure, Methylene Blue could cause your blood pressure to spike further.

What is methylene blue, and why is it so popular?

💧Methylene blue can actually support mitochondrial function and may help increase ATP production, which can boost your energy levels!

⚠️Not all methylene blue is created equal! It is possible to overdose on methylene blue purchased from anywhere other than a TRUSTED and reputable source.

Can Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT) support your bone health and help prevent osteoporosis??

Many women don’t realize they can lose up to 25% of their bone density in just the first five years after menopause.

Why should you care about your bone density? Studies show that more women die each year from osteoporotic fractures than from breast cancer.
