EMPLOYEE SPOTLIGHT : Allow me to introduce Ivy. Ivy is one of our newer team members here at Starting Point. Ivy is in long-term term recovery and uses every tool at her disposal for her own personal healing journey, which translates to in depth, solution-focused approach for her clients. Ivy is a caring and considerate individual with a little bit of an edge that calls it like she sees it. Showing that she cares enough to not allow clients to skate by on the bare minimum, so that each client can reach the fullness of their potential. Ivy has been a welcome addition to the family and is the perfect fit for our eclectic mix of treatment professionals.

I’ve been clean for 9 years, my clean date is 1/17/17. I have 2 kids (18 and 15), and my oldest is getting ready to graduate high school. Early in recovery my first husband passed away, but love found me again and I got remarried to a wonderful man who I met in recovery. I have a 15 lb black cat and he is my sweet angel baby boy. I have a sponsor and I work steps. I love helping people with seeing their worth and reminding them that a better life is possible.

Ernest Bass aka Jamie. Jamie is a former client turned employee. Jamie's recovery is faith based, which exemplifies the diversity of our team. Jamie is a great example of finding a new way to live. He brings a level of energy and enthusiasm for his own recovery that tends to spread to clients like wildfires. His dedication to his new way of life Is a testament to the life changing power of recovery and we are grateful to have him as part of our team.

"I was a very broken individual for a very long time. I tried several times to get clean but I always had another in me at least that was my mindset. I have 4 and half years clean and love that I get the chance to share my recovery with clients and provide some hope"

EMPLOYEE SPOTLIGHT:
Katie has been with us for 2 yrs and is an invaluable resource to our facility. She is a peer and a counselor whose life experience and willingness to assist her clients navigate the difficult bureaucracies of the system make her a vital asset to our team.

I am in long-term recovery with nine years of sobriety, and my journey has been shaped by both difficult experiences and meaningful growth. After spending time in prison as a result of my past choices, I made the decision to change the direction of my life. Recovery has given me the opportunity to rebuild myself, learn from my mistakes, and develop a stronger sense of responsibility and purpose. Today, I use my experiences as motivation to continue growing and to show others that real change is possible with commitment, honesty, and hard work.
