A few days ago I started following Walk For Peace…the walk Monks are doing from Texas to Washington. Upon researching their journey I saw that on one of the first days of their journey the monks encountered an accident…and because of this accident one of the monks was hit by a vehicle, taken to the hospital and his leg had such sever damage that it had to be amputated . I watched a video of the monk recovering and listened to his words. It’s been interesting to observe my own thoughts and feelings around his words and reaction to his loss. The posts share him staying in a grateful state and looking at what positive things that are coming from his loss. It’s a reality that by walking all these miles these Monks are not just walking but they are putting themselves at risks and they are paying a price for their mission and passion of sharing their truths and beliefs of bringing Peace to communities and individuals. Honestly it has been hard to see this monk lose his leg, it was even difficult to hear his positive words but it has also been encouraging to see him honor his purpose and beliefs and keep moving forward after the pain and loss he suffered. Still processing. Seeing both the loss and the positive that their journey entails.

Breathwork is one of my favorite and most potent modalities I offer for my clients. Here is a comment I received from a new client last week after her first Breathwork session “Thank you for the wonderful morning. You are doing magical work!!” I agree, indeed these work is magical. It is work. Not necessarily hard or easy but it is work and there is some magic in doing your work!

How many of you have heard or are following the Buddhist monks who are walking for peace? (For those who haven’t heard this is what CBS has written about the Walk “The monks and their loyal dog Aloka are traveling through 10 states en route to Washington, D.C. The group has amassed a huge audience on social media, with more than 400,000 followers on Facebook. Aloka, who is named after a Sanskrit word meaning enlightenment, has its own hashtag, .” )

“We do not walk alone. We walk together with every person whose heart has opened to peace, whose spirit has chosen kindness, whose daily life has become a garden where understanding grows," the group posted recently.

A 2,300 mile journey starting in Texas
And ending in Washington DC.

I just started following them. This inspires me and gives me hope.

2025 brought me to study and practice in India on two separate occasions which is still unbelievable to me. It was a year full of some of the most difficult experiences that I have ever lived through yet tremendous growth is occurring from these experiences. Thank you so much for all the kind words concerning my dad. He is recovering from his stroke and still has not regained full use of his right arm and other areas of his right side but he is doing well for a 95 year old guy!
