It's scary spooky skeleton time. But it should all be for pretend... if your body's tension is making you look like a zombie and act like a witch, it's time to get a massage.

I still have a few sessions available for this week!
Don't wait until you're putting your costumes (or your kid's costumes) on to realize your back might not handle all the spooky shenanigans.

Compassion fatigue.

Today (and pretty much everyday for a while) can be pretty heavy.

Here's your reminder that Renewed Kinetics is a place you can set down the heavy stuff at my door and give your body and mind sometime to rest on my table.

If you can't do that then just set down social media for a while, take a few deep breaths, and get your body moving for a few minutes.

Carrying a bag on the shoulder (even if it is empty) requires constant isometric contraction of the elevators of the shoulder girdle, such as the upper trapezius, levator scapulae, and rhomboids.
Use, leading to overuse, leading to misuse, leading to abuse...
A bag carried cross-shoulder does not require the scapular elevators to have to overwork.

I don't know how to do things in a small way.

Wanna know what I find funny?
How many clients don't realizing they weren't able to take deep breaths until after I work on them and they take their first one in who knows how long.

Here I'm working on a bundle of muscles called the erector spinae... the ones that, ya know, hold your spine erect. When they get tight it's not only your mid back that they affect...

Your ribs need to be able to move to breath and with pressure from surrounding pressure you have to work so much harder just to bring air in which we all have to do.

So make your life a little easier and get a massage.
