I use cupping massage extensively for self care. If it wasn't for cupping, I don't think I would have lasted 18 years in my career field. I hear myths from people all the time about Cupping.
Let’s Clear up a few things about Cupping Massage....
If you’ve ever seen circular marks after cupping and thought “ouch, bruises!” — here’s the truth 👇
THESE ARE NOT BRUISES..
Cupping gently lifts the tissue to the surface, creating negative pressure that helps move stagnant blood, lymph, and metabolic waste that have been stuck in the tissues—sometimes for a long time.
💞Benefits of Massage Cupping:
• Improves circulation & lymphatic flow
• Releases deep muscle tension & fascial restrictions
• Helps reduce inflammation & pain
• Supports detoxification
• Promotes faster healing & recovery
• Increases range of motion
Those darker areas simply show where congestion and stagnation were present. Areas with good flow may show little to no color at all. The marks fade naturally within a few days to a week as the body processes and clears what was released.
Think of cupping as giving your body a jump-start—helping it do what it already knows how to do: HEAL.
Curious if cupping is right for you? I’m happy to chat or incorporate it into your next session 💆♀️💜
