A word from our owner:
First and foremost, I give all glory and thanks to God. This is truly an answered prayer.
I am so humbly grateful to the Kansas Department of Commerce and the Kansas Office of Registered Apprenticeship for choosing Gifted Care Service, LLC as a Small Business Registered Apprenticeship Grant awardee💰💰.
This opportunity means so much to me, not just because of the funding, but because of what it represents. It represents growth, workforce development, purpose, and the opportunity to bring someone else up with me as we grow. ♥️
A special thanks to Shonda Anderson and Andre Heath, Thank you for doing the work to strengthen the Kansas workforce. It is greatly appreciated, and I do not take this moment lightly. I am excited to continue growing in all that this opportunity has to offer.
I also want to thank Black Entrepreneurs of the Flint Hills for everything they have poured into me and into Gifted Care Service. Through the training, workshops, teachings, equipping, access to capital, CommerceUplift, and one on one coaching, they have helped prepare us for opportunities like this.♥️
A very special thank you to Dr. Crystal Davis for being such a phenomenal coach, mentor, leader, and voice in my life and business. She has challenged me, stretched me, encouraged me, and helped me move with more structure, more strategy, and more confidence. There were moments when she was a coach, moments when she gave motherly wisdom, and moments when she simply would not let me think too small. I am so thankful for the way she has poured into me and for how impactful she has been on this journey. ♥️
This grant means so much to me because my heart has never been just to build a business. My heart desire has always been to grow in a way that allows me to bring each employee up with me and bless them as this company is blessed. I know what it feels like to start from the bottom, to build from nothing, and to pray for every open door. So to now be in a position where I can help create opportunity for someone else means more to me than words can explain.
This grant came at the right time. We had an employee decide to come fully on board with us, and I was praying and asking God to increase every opportunity connected to her, to our clients, and to this business. Around that same time, through coaching and conversations with Black Entrepreneurs of the Flint Hills, we learned about the apprenticeship program. We applied, and by the grace of God, we received the grant. Right away, I knew who the apprentice would be.
I want to acknowledge Tanarika Picou and thank her for the way she has shown up for Gifted Care Service. She has stepped into client homes, stepped in during call outs, helped in the office, worked where she was needed, and truly been someone who has had my back. She has been a blessing to this company, and I am so grateful that this apprenticeship will create an opportunity for her growth, her increase, and her continued development in this field. Training is in progress so get ready for your promotion 😉💰
To my entire team, thank you for continuing to show up, serve our clients with love, and help us build something meaningful. I want you all to know this is for all of us. This is not just about one person. This is the first, but many are to come. I may not be able to do it for everyone at one time, but please know my heart is to continue growing this company in a way that lifts others as we grow. I am already believing for the client breaks we can give them financially and the next employee we can bring up too.
Galatians 6:9
Please stay connected with us because we have so much coming, and I will be sharing more of what this grant is allowing us to do.♥️♥️♥️
This is only the beginning. The first of many.
Thank you, Lord. ~Kriscendra Baptiste
