How many of you have felt tightness in your hips after a long day of sitting, walking, or practicing?

Or wondered why certain shapes like Warrior II, Pigeon, or Chair feel accessible one day and impossible the next?

Even though our bodies are built to move freely, the hips tend to hold onto things like tension, habits, and imbalance. They’re the literal and energetic bridge between our upper and lower body. Our hips are the center of gravity that affects everything from posture to balance to lower-back health.

When we move with awareness and alignment, the hips become a powerful source of stability, mobility, and strength. When we don’t, they can be the root of discomfort, strain, or even injury.

Autumn Equinox.
A moment of balance—light and dark,
inner and outer, breath and stillness.
The Earth exhales.
So do we.
We slow down,
not to stop,
but to return.
To ourselves.
To the soil beneath our feet.
To the truth that we are not separate
from the turning of the leaves,
the cooling of the air,
the quieting of the world.
We are nature—
wild, rhythmic, and wise.
