Join us this Wednesday at 4PM at the Riverview Senior Living Center near the Valley Post Office for the next meeting of the hospital's Patient & Family Advisory Committee (PFAC). This month's topics include (1) what matters - how to ask questions about personalized healthcare goals and (2) improving communication between patients’ families and healthcare providers.

Bartlett’s PFAC is a group of current and former patients, family members, and caregivers that work together to advance best practices at the hospital. Volunteer patients and families collaborate with employees (clinical, administrative and support) to provide guidance on how to improve the patient and family experience. The LPN program is held over two semesters and once complete, an individual can sit for a national examination and achieve licensure. With licensure, the LPN can provide direct care to patients and provide health teaching to clients in many settings. LPNs often assist registered nurses in more complex, non-routine care. Typical duties include taking vital signs, administering prescribed medications, giving injections, preparing patients for medical examinations and surgical procedures, and recording information in the patient’s medical record.
