Swelling that won’t go away isn’t something you just have to live with.

Complete Decongestive Therapy (CDT) is the gold standard treatment for lymphedema, and for good reason. It’s not a quick fix or a one-time treatment. It’s a comprehensive, step-by-step approach designed to actually move fluid out of the body and keep it from coming back.

Because your lymphatic system doesn’t have a pump like your heart, fluid can build up when it’s not functioning properly. CDT works with your body to gently redirect that fluid, reduce swelling, and support long-term management. 🦋

Over time, this can mean:
• Less swelling
• Less heaviness and discomfort
• Healthier skin
• Lower risk of complications like infection

If you’ve been dealing with swelling, discomfort, or just feel like something isn’t right, there are options, and this is one of the most effective.

➡️ Stay tuned for part 2: We’ll break down the 4 key components of CDT and how each one plays a role.

A few days into spring, and this is when we typically start hearing it:
“My swelling feels worse lately.”

Seasonal changes can impact how fluid moves through the body, especially in the legs, feet, hands, and face.

For some, it’s temporary. For others, it’s a sign the lymphatic system isn’t keeping up.
If you’re noticing:
• Swelling that lingers longer than usual
• Heaviness or tightness in your limbs
• Puffiness that doesn’t resolve overnight
• Changes since surgery, travel, or increased activity

Your body may be asking for better lymphatic support. The earlier you address it, the easier it is to manage.

⭐️ Save this as a reminder to pay attention to your body this season.

If swelling has become part of your daily life, we’re here to help you understand what’s going on and what to do next.

Spring is a season of renewal, and it’s also a great time to check in with your body.

As temperatures rise and activity levels increase, many people begin noticing swelling in their legs, feet, hands, or face. For some, it’s temporary. For others, it may be a sign that the lymphatic system needs support.

If you’ve been experiencing:
• Persistent swelling
• Heaviness or tightness in your limbs
• Puffiness that doesn’t resolve overnight
• Post-surgical swelling that lingers
your lymphatic system may be asking for attention.

Supporting healthy lymphatic flow can help reduce swelling, improve comfort, and promote better overall wellness.

This spring, give your body the support it deserves.

If this sounds familiar, DM us or call 561-786-9984 and we’ll help you figure out the next step.

✨ Dry Brushing: A Simple Habit with Big Benefits

Dry brushing is a gentle technique that can help stimulate the lymphatic system, support circulation and promote healthy skin. For many people, especially those managing swelling, it can be a helpful addition to a daily self-care routine.

Potential benefits of dry brushing:
• Encourages lymphatic movement
• May help reduce fluid buildup and swelling
• Improves circulation
• Gently exfoliates the skin
• Supports overall skin health

A few simple tips to get started:
• Always brush on dry skin before showering
• Use a soft, natural-bristle brush
• Brush with light pressure, not aggressively
• Move strokes toward the heart to support lymph flow
• Start with 2–5 minutes and build from there

If you have lymphedema or are managing swelling, it’s always best to talk with your certified lymphedema therapist about the safest techniques for you.

Small daily habits can make a big difference in supporting your lymphatic health. 💙

💙 March is Lymphedema Awareness Month.

Swelling isn’t always “just swelling.”

Lymphedema is a chronic condition caused by a compromised lymphatic system. When lymph fluid can’t properly drain, it builds up, leading to persistent swelling, discomfort, heaviness, and increased risk of infection.

It can develop after surgery, cancer treatment, injury, or from a congenital condition ... and early treatment truly matters.

At Lymphedema Treatment Center, we are committed to:
✨ Raising awareness
✨ Providing education
✨ Offering specialized treatment
✨ Supporting every patient’s journey

If you or someone you love is living with unexplained swelling, know that help is available, and that you are not alone.

Let’s continue the conversation this month and beyond. 🦋

Your lymphatic system doesn’t move on its own, it relies on you. 💙

A few daily habits can make a big difference:

🚶‍♀️ Light movement like walking or stretching
💧 Drinking plenty of water
🤲 Regular Manual Lymphatic Drainage

When your lymph system is supported, you may notice less swelling, stronger immunity and better overall wellness. Small steps. Real results.
