CDT works because it’s not just one treatment, it’s a system.

Each component plays a specific role:
• Moving fluid
• Keeping it from returning
• Supporting your body long-term

When done together, these steps help reduce swelling, improve comfort and protect your overall health.

If you’re dealing with swelling or have been diagnosed with lymphedema, understanding these components is the first step toward managing it effectively.

Meet Robin ✨

Robin may be one of the newer faces at Lymphedema Treatment Center, but her dedication to caring for others runs deep. After an incredible 40-year career as a Special Agent with the Department of Defense, she decided to come out of retirement to do something she truly enjoys, helping people.

At LTC, Robin plays an important role in making every patient’s experience feel smooth, supported, and welcoming. From scheduling appointments to answering questions, she’s often the first friendly voice or face you’ll connect with.

What she loves most? The people. She enjoys working alongside Terra and the entire team, as well as the relationships she is building with patients, saying it gives her a true sense of purpose.

Outside of the clinic, you’ll find Robin spending time with her puppy, Gina, kayaking, paddleboarding, practicing yoga, biking, or enjoying the beach. She has also dedicated much of her life to giving back, including years volunteering with St. Vincent de Paul.

We’re so happy to have Robin as part of the LTC family. 💙

Four years of care, compassion and commitment! 💙

What started as a vision has grown into something truly special. Terra, founder, owner and therapist, along with her amazing team, has dedicated her work to helping others feel better in their bodies, find relief and regain confidence through personalized, thoughtful care.

While supporting those living with lymphedema remains at the heart of the clinic, the clinic's approach extends far beyond, creating a space centered on overall wellness, healing and feeling your best, inside and out. ✨

From the very first client to today, it’s always been about making people feel seen, supported and cared for.

We are so grateful for our incredible clients, community and team who have been part of this journey. Thank you for trusting us. 💗

Swelling that won’t go away isn’t something you just have to live with.

Complete Decongestive Therapy (CDT) is the gold standard treatment for lymphedema, and for good reason. It’s not a quick fix or a one-time treatment. It’s a comprehensive, step-by-step approach designed to actually move fluid out of the body and keep it from coming back.

Because your lymphatic system doesn’t have a pump like your heart, fluid can build up when it’s not functioning properly. CDT works with your body to gently redirect that fluid, reduce swelling, and support long-term management. 🦋

Over time, this can mean:
• Less swelling
• Less heaviness and discomfort
• Healthier skin
• Lower risk of complications like infection

If you’ve been dealing with swelling, discomfort, or just feel like something isn’t right, there are options, and this is one of the most effective.

➡️ Stay tuned for part 2: We’ll break down the 4 key components of CDT and how each one plays a role.

A few days into spring, and this is when we typically start hearing it:
“My swelling feels worse lately.”

Seasonal changes can impact how fluid moves through the body, especially in the legs, feet, hands, and face.

For some, it’s temporary. For others, it’s a sign the lymphatic system isn’t keeping up.
If you’re noticing:
• Swelling that lingers longer than usual
• Heaviness or tightness in your limbs
• Puffiness that doesn’t resolve overnight
• Changes since surgery, travel, or increased activity

Your body may be asking for better lymphatic support. The earlier you address it, the easier it is to manage.

⭐️ Save this as a reminder to pay attention to your body this season.

If swelling has become part of your daily life, we’re here to help you understand what’s going on and what to do next.

Spring is a season of renewal, and it’s also a great time to check in with your body.

As temperatures rise and activity levels increase, many people begin noticing swelling in their legs, feet, hands, or face. For some, it’s temporary. For others, it may be a sign that the lymphatic system needs support.

If you’ve been experiencing:
• Persistent swelling
• Heaviness or tightness in your limbs
• Puffiness that doesn’t resolve overnight
• Post-surgical swelling that lingers
your lymphatic system may be asking for attention.

Supporting healthy lymphatic flow can help reduce swelling, improve comfort, and promote better overall wellness.

This spring, give your body the support it deserves.

If this sounds familiar, DM us or call 561-786-9984 and we’ll help you figure out the next step.

✨ Dry Brushing: A Simple Habit with Big Benefits

Dry brushing is a gentle technique that can help stimulate the lymphatic system, support circulation and promote healthy skin. For many people, especially those managing swelling, it can be a helpful addition to a daily self-care routine.

Potential benefits of dry brushing:
• Encourages lymphatic movement
• May help reduce fluid buildup and swelling
• Improves circulation
• Gently exfoliates the skin
• Supports overall skin health

A few simple tips to get started:
• Always brush on dry skin before showering
• Use a soft, natural-bristle brush
• Brush with light pressure, not aggressively
• Move strokes toward the heart to support lymph flow
• Start with 2–5 minutes and build from there

If you have lymphedema or are managing swelling, it’s always best to talk with your certified lymphedema therapist about the safest techniques for you.

Small daily habits can make a big difference in supporting your lymphatic health. 💙

Spring break travel is right around the corner. Whether you’re heading to the mountains for a ski trip or relaxing somewhere warm in the Caribbean, long flights, car rides and changes in routine can sometimes lead to swelling. ✈️🌴❄️

A few simple habits can help keep swelling under control while you travel:

✔️ Wear appropriate compression when recommended
✔️ Stay hydrated
✔️ Limit high-sodium foods
✔️ Move your body and take walking breaks when possible
✔️ Do gentle exercises to keep your lymphatic system moving

These small steps can help support healthy circulation and lymphatic flow so you can feel your best while enjoying your trip.
